We created a space that adds modern comforts while making use of the texture of the old wood and the spaces between the columns.The spaces between the columns have been painted and reused, and a softly colored cloth has been used to enhance the existing wood.The diatomite-painted walls, the exterior walls of baked cedar, and the soft lighting create a relaxing stay. Artworks by Masaharu Suzuki are displayed throughout the building.A special accommodation space in the city of Aomori, where modern Japanese interior design and art harmonize. The accommodation space is on the second floor, and the entrance is separate from the beauty salon on the first floor.You can enter the accommodation area without going through the beauty salon, so you can enjoy a private stay. It is an old house with an authentic tea room built 45 years ago by a tea ceremony master as his own practice space. We inherited this house and have been protecting it while gradually restoring the neglected garden over the past 10 years. There is no TV in Shirotsubaki. Instead, we value making tea, looking at the garden, reading books, and talking with family and friends. More than 80 types of plants and trees grow in the garden, and the camellias that were once grown by the tea ceremony master are once again in bloom. On the natural stone terrace, you can enjoy reading or tea time without worrying about people watching. The tea room still retains the careful work of Kyoto craftsmen, and time passes quietly and peacefully. During your stay, please choose your favorite from our authentic tea bowls and enjoy the experience of making matcha tea yourself. A tea whisk and matcha are provided. We also provide a library where you can experience Japanese culture and art, and a small study, "Reading & Writing Nook", bathed in soft light through the shoji screens. Shirotsubaki is not an accommodation for visiting tourist destinations. It is an inn where you can experience the peaceful lifestyle that Japanese people have cherished since ancient times.

This secluded guest house is located in the suburbs of Goshogawara City. We have a pet cage in the facility, so guests with dogs can also stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with an IH type system kitchen, fridge, microwave, oven toaster, and ice maker. In addition to furniture, appliances, and fixtures, we have a barbecue grill, so you can enjoy a barbecue in the garden surrounded by a peaceful view. The first floor has an 8-tatami kitchen and an 8-tatami living room, and you can go straight out to the garden. We have a single twin bed and futon in the 12 tatami mat Japanese-style room across the hallway. Toilets, washrooms, dressing rooms, and bathrooms are also available on the first floor.
