Holiday houses in Tyin

Staying at Otillie’s cabin was a HUGE splurge for us, but the minimalist cabin is well thought out, nicely designed, and beautifully sited with a SPECTACULAR view up the fjord—enjoyed from the kitchen/living area, bathroom, and MBR. Fabulous! Happily, the cabin is set uphill from town and away from the hordes which descend from the visiting cruise ships. One thing to note however, is that it’s a steep walk up to the cabin—not a problem for us, but could be for someone who doesn’t walk much. We didn’t do any real cooking, but the kitchen had the basics if we had chosen to. We had a wonderful stay at Otillie’s and would love to stay again in the future.

Mari’s place was just what we needed, and we had a marvellous time! The cabin is great, and has everything you could ask for, including amazing views from both the living room and the huge terrace. The cabin is a perfect mix between traditional typical Norwegian mountain cabin (with grass roof) and a new and modern inside. It was clean, tidy, and free from clutter and just an absolutely fantastic stay! The cabin is also located really good. We came there to hike and explore the pre-Jotunheim area and I don’t think we ever had to drive the car more than 15minutes for anything. Really good grocery store and Intersport just a few minutes away, as is the ‘Fjellstue’ restaurant. Great hikes with splendid views are 10min away. Also the host was super helpful for local recommendations and any other questions we had :) All in all I warmly recommend this place, and already looking forward to my next visit!

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft mit viel Komfort Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser gemütlichen, offen gestalteten Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht – sogar Rentiere kamen vorbei! Dank der Schranke am Hüttenfeld genießt man viel Privatsphäre, und auch die Wandermöglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür haben uns begeistert. Die Ausstattung ist top: sehr gut eingerichtete Küche, Waschmaschine, Trockner, ein gut abdunkelbares Schlafzimmer und ein bei Ankunft bereits vorgeheizter Whirlpool – großartig! Kleine Verbesserungsvorschläge: Der Außenbereich rund um den Whirlpool könnte etwas liebevoller gestaltet sein, die Reduzierung beim Brennholz ist bei dem Preis zudem ggfs. überdenkenswert– aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns bei Geir Erik, der jederzeit erreichbar war und uns schnell geholfen hat. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gern wieder!

Un séjour exceptionnel dans ce logement ! La maison est magnifique et très propre. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les divers équipements, ainsi que arriver dans la maison et que le salon soit à une température agréable pour notre arrivée. Une maison très cosy, nous espérons revenir ! Un grand merci.

This was likely one of the top 5% of places that I have rented over the years, and I am an avid traveller with >100 AirBnB rentals over the years. The place looks brand new, beautifully decorated, full wall windows with amazing views of the fjord and snow capped mountains. Moreover, the beds are comfortable, bedding great, although linen and towel rentals are not included - extra cost and must be arranged ahead of time. Water toys are available like SUP and boat rental from the owner. We did both, and they were amazing! Well-Stocked kitchen (although sugar and wine opener missing), large refrigerator and freezer, great dishwasher. But the views were the most wonderful and peaceful - we saw dolphins one morning! This place is a true gem, we would definitely highly recommend it to anyone! We can’t wait to come back! Caution: this home is in a remote spot, with only hiking and water sports, no restaurants nor grocery shops around (nearest store 35 min). Narrow roads to place.

The hut was great. Easy access from the E16 and had great views. I would highly recommend bringing drinking water with you. The water available at the hut had a lot of iron. You could tell by the colour of the tiles. It would be nice if the hut had an iron and hairdryer available. Some great viewpoints close by.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Haagens Hütte. Die geräumige Küche bietet alles, was man braucht, um jeden Abend zu kochen und wir haben auch regelmäßig den Grill genutzt. Der Kiwi in Ulsåk bietet mit seinem breiten Angebot alles, was wir benötigten. Es gab viele Beeren in der Nähe des Hauses und wir konnten auch einige Rentiere beobachten. Durch Haagens wertvollen Tipp konnten wir sogar Polarlichter sehen, womit wir zu dieser Zeit gar nicht gerechnet hatten. Es gibt viele schöne Ziele in der Nähe, wie zum Beispiel den Bjøberg direkt neben dem Haus, aber auch einige Wanderwege in der direkten Umgebung die wir viel genutzt haben. Zudem haben wir Tagestrips zum Jostedalsbreen, nach Jotunheimen, zum Sognefjord über das Aurlandsfjellet und nach Jotunheimen zum Besseggengrat unternommen. Am Ende unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir nochmal sehr gutes Wetter und konnten dieses nutzen, um im nahen Fluss zu baden. Alles in allem hätte der Aufenthalt nicht schöner sein können. Danke Haagen!
