The area has fantastic views of the Lyng Alps, with opportunities to see the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. There are good hiking opportunities in the immediate area. Popular mountains for randonees. From the property you can go directly up to Storhaugen. Sorbmegáisá is also nearby. Short distance to other mountains. Wood fired Sauna and grill hut. Bicycles, snowshoes. Beds are fully made.

Ta på deg skiene eller trugene å gå rett opp på fjellet. Nyt stranden som er 5 minutters gange fra leiligheten. På 15 minutter i bil er du i sentrum av Tromsø med alt en by har å tilby. Ett perfekt utgangspunkt for de som er interessert i toppturer i Lyngsalpene. Kun 20min til Lyngseidet med bil. Der er matbutikk og mere. Hytten har installert varmepumpe for perfekt innetemperatur. Her er også bra med parkeringsplass både sommer som vinter, samt el bil lader.

Gamtunet - idyllic cabin - spectacular location

Gamtunet is a charming old log house with a top modern architectural extension including all commodities. The view is spectacular encompassing the Lyngen landscape from the view to the Ulsfjord to the alpine peaks of Trollvasstind, Sofiatind and the Jiehkkevárri massif. We still have lots of snow in the mountains so it looks like skiing will be good all through May at least.
