Holiday rentals with beach access in Unguja South Region

The place was absolutely amazing and as advertised in the photos. Ann-Sofie was also very quick to respond and super helpful at all times. The place was spotless and was the perfect getaway we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

A gorgeous gem of a place located a minute walk to the beach, yet tucked away from the hustle & bustle. This place really offered a sense of serenity nestled away… The apartment was spacious with an open plan kitchen, dining area, and veranda where you can sometimes see the kites flying, and was a great place to chill with friends. The dogs are adorable and made the place feel like home. With so many activities in Paje this place was a miracle find to be so central to all the tours and sports on the island 🏝️. Thank you 🙏

This is a fantastic place to stay! Saidi was excellent with communication. The area is fantastic to relax and he was so helpful with checkout and very reliable. My favorite stay in Zanzibar 😍

We loved our stay at Soul! Our Tuk Tuk (taxi) driver knew the place, entered via a staffed gate, and dropped us off with luggage right at our condo. The place is incredible with EVERYTHING you need! Comfortable beds/pillows, hot shower, streaming TV with a REAL sofa (not a bench). The kitchen was outstanding! UNIQUE: oven and a microwave! Perfect if you want to cook a few/all of your meals while in Paje. Plus a washing machine, dishwasher, AC in every room, and a generator! All the appliances are newer and worked perfectly. Great pool view from the large patio with a hammock for relaxing with a book. The pool was huge and beautiful! There is a kiddie pool on both ends and the main pool slopes down to about 1.5M. You could do laps, but we like to do sort of a full-body pool workout - Perfect! The pool was closed a few days for maint. but Ann-Sofie our incredible 5-STAR host took care of us and recommended Ndame hotel on the beach for food/pool - we loved it! I highly recommend Soul!

My favourite place I’ve stayed in Zanzibar. The Soul is perfect for families, couples or solo travellers. The apartment is lovely, really nicely furnished and well equipped. I stayed for two weeks and felt totally as home. Christine was an excellent host and I would not hesitate to book again. It’s amazing to not have to deal with the Zanzibari power cuts due to the generator, the location is perfect, the pool is dreamy and it was wonderful to have our own private garden. Couldn’t fault the apartment or The Soul complex. Thank you for having us Christine.

We had a few lovely days in Ann-Sofies apartment. Everything was as described and by far the best accommodation we had in Zanzibar. The host is super friendly and accessible. Will highly recommend this to everyone going to Paje!

We had an amazing time in this apartment in paje. It is not far from the beach and the swimmingpool is great. Everything went well, laundry machine available, everything necessary for cooking, people are the gate are really welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

Perfect spot for a group! The villa is beautiful, clean, and has great common areas to relax together. The host was super responsive and friendly, and the staff provided top-notch service. We especially loved the delicious included breakfast. Clean rooms, clean pool — everything was just right. Highly recommend!

We loved loved loved our stay at Wakushi house. Rebecca and Amani were so helpful and sweet people to be around and their place is just amazing. It is simply beautiful and very airy which is important on such a hot island. But it was the little details that stood out- fresh flowers, self-colored towels and handmade soap (which you can also purchase as a souvenir). Rebecca was also super helpful to arrange some trips and even took me to her yoga class. This might have been my best Airbnb-find ever!

Ernst is a very good gatsgeber . He responds immediately and always helps. Everything is very well organized. He has arranged the help on site very well. There is always a contact person there. Maybe think about an emergency power unit......The house is located directly on the beach , just a few steps to the sea. Absolutely quiet location. Thank you very much for the nice time there.

Place is amazing, very peaceful and private with incredible view. Host is very responsive and helpful. Caretaker is a wonderful person who was more than happy to assist in every way with great local knowledge and advice, can arrange any activities etc. Will certainly recommend and hope to visit again.

This villa is a real gem! Perched facing the sea, it offers a breathtaking view - impossible to get tired of, we were literally hypnotized by the landscape. The pool with direct ocean view is a real treat, and access to a quiet and peaceful beach makes the place even more magical. A true haven of peace! Our room, facing the sea, was just splendid — waking up with a view, moments of serenity, perfect. A huge thank you to David, always super welcoming, available and responsive (you know we won't forget your help, really🙏). Special mention also to the chef: the dishes were delicious, and it's a real plus when you just want to enjoy the villa to the fullest without having to move. Great value for money! Our stay in Uroa was wonderful. Emanuele put us in touch with his property manager who helped us with everything from airport transfers, setting up tours and even getting some medicine when some of our family came down with the flu. Uroa is a little bit remote in terms of amenities but that is what we were looking for. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance on the beach but not much more than that. We enjoyed walking the beach every day, swimming and wading out to the sand bar at low tide. There are also people/companies on the beach if you want to setup snorkeling tours or watersports. The caretaker and the housekeeper do a wonderful job keeping up the property and the housekeeper even made a few meals for us with the groceries we bought in Stonetown! The house was beautiful and in good repair. Beds were good and the pool was great to relax in. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, just what we needed at the end of our trip to Tanzania!

Fumba Town is a very nice place to stay: close to the beach and not far from Stone Town and the airport. The apartment is very neat and with tasteful furniture and good facilities like a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. An umbrella came in handy too :-) because it was the rainy season. Kwetu kwenu beach club is nearby and chill with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended, the apartment and the town.

Rashid was a great host, he responded to any questions I had within minutes. The two bedroom villa was booked so Rashid offered the three bedroom. The villa is newly built, and is 30 seconds from the beach. Housekeeping arrived the next day. The Wi-Fi was a little weak, and don’t expect to cook a full course in the kitchen. Great restaurants in walking distance without having to walk to the main road. I might be spoiled, but A/C would make this villa a 10 out of 10. I would rent again on my next Zanzibar visit.

I can only recommend the place, from communication to booking, to transportation from the airport to the welcome and accommodation to the apartment, we were happy with everything. The family apartment provides plenty of space and excellent cooking facilities. The beds are very comfortable and the terrace is superbly adapted to relax in privacy thanks to the grown beautifully blooming bushes. Next, the generous breakfast included and 2 pools, at least one of which we had to ourselves at any time. The area is very well maintained, the pools are clean and the surroundings of the apartments are cared for. It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach, as well as the beginning of the village, where you can shop for everything you need, and also observe the local life while walking. Thank you so much to the owners and the entire staff for a great stay.

Absolutely loved this beautiful and cozy spot. Great place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay or if you plan to work from the apartment. The host is very responsive and made our stay seamless. Looking forward to my next stay here.

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.
