Family-friendly holiday rentals in Union County

Beautiful views and an amazing location if you're trying to get away from everything! The hot tub was definitely the highlight of our trip. The pool table was a lot of fun, and we were glad to have it there! The grill worked perfectly, and the host was responsive. The only thing to keep in mind is that the kitchen isn't fully equipped. They had pots, pans, and cutlery, but no other essentials like oil, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. We only had salt and pepper, so we had to improvise, as we weren't planning on leaving the cabin for the weekend and wanted to cook during our stay.

We absolutely loved this cabin in the woods! It was perfect for our 4 family- reunion. It was clean, it was organized and had all we needed for a great stay- plenty of kitchen items, great deck space and bedrooms. There aren’t really views- it’s super high up on a steep hill, but doesn’t offer views from the decks. Didn’t matter since we were concentrating on our friends and football! The closest grocery store which we felt was a little expensive did have everything we needed but it’s a good 20-25 min away. Overall we would stay again, it was perfect for what we needed.

It was nice and peaceful. A pretty small place for the price. The hot tub was nice and the pet area would be really awesome if you needed a place for a dog. The hot tub was clean. The master bed was comfortable. The guest bed was not my daughter slept on the couch the last 2 nights. No dishwasher an ac doesn’t work the best. They also is no kitchen table.

The cabin was amazing and absolutely perfect for what we needed. Thank you for a comfy and convenient place while we were in town. If our travels bring us back to N. Georgia we will definitely stay again.

It is a steep drive up and being in low gear helps. The cabin is beautiful and the surroundings are awesome. Many deer gathered at the top of the hill. I walked up the hill and it is a steep hike. We had a lovely stay. It was my daughter’s birthday so we grilled and watched a movie in the hot tub. Terri’s treasures is a charming antique store we stopped by on the way in.

Our family of 10 adults, xl dog, and 3 children had a great time. The home was beautiful and had plenty of space for each of us. The game room downstairs was a great place to entertain everyone, and both upstairs living rooms were perfect for family activities. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and easily accommodated our family. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need to cook 3 meals a day. The house is close enough to fun activities that you don’t have to drive for hours to hike or shop, but far enough away you felt like you were in a cozy cabin in the woods. Craftsmanship of the home was impressive.

The house was so beautiful and we felt so at home. We had some smell issues in the bathroom and it was after hours and they sent someone right away. We also were SO thrilled that it was decorated beautifully for Christmas!

The host was responsive and very helpful at check in. The location is beautiful.

If you have mobility issues or want something brand new, this isn't for you. BUT, if you love cute, cozy, charming and comfortable, it's perfect! Everything was VERY clean with a country cabin feel. They had a variety of fun games too. The master is separate from the house and was all very nice. Beds were SO comfortable and I loved that this is a pet friendly place. It's not fenced in, but there is plenty of room to talk your pup on a leash in the yard with our bring on top of the neighboring houses. The view was also very beautiful. It's on a busier section of the lake, so be sure you tie your water crafts up appropriately. The driveway getting down to the main house is steep and small with a tight turn. I have a small car and made it jut fine, but if you're in a truck or SUV, use caution. Don't even think about taking a boat trailer down there! But you CAN park in front of the little master bedroom cottage and walk to the main house jus fine. Also very quiet. Loved it!!

We came to Young Harris for our sons wedding and stayed at this beautiful terrace apartment. It was clean and cozy. Very convenient location .Ursula welcomed us and went out of her way to lend me a steamer for my dress. We would love to stay with them again!!

The cottage is very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is amazing to cook in with everything you could possible need. The heated floors were amazing on the porch!

This house was amazing! It was very well kept and clearly a gem in the mountains. My main concern was that a company was running it and the texts seemed to be answered by a robot. The driveway was steep, and that was unexpected, but other than that everything was great

Roomy, clean, well stocked home secluded but close to town and a winery. Pet friendly so the entire family could enjoy time in the mountains. Maureen answers her messages quickly with any questions. Great Host!

It was just as expected! Host were great! We didn’t spend much time there but to sleep and shower so it was perfect.

The place was great! All that we needed for a stay away weekend. The sound of the creek, the woods, the quietness, just perfect! We would definitely come back.

We come to Murphy all the time to visit family. We will definitely book again here if it’s available!

Amazing view, comfy beds, great location!! Secluded feel but the grocery store and much more is a short drive away. Honestly I could’ve sat on the back porch and looked at the mountains and river all day. The pool was a nice spot, well done little area. My daughter enjoyed the little playground. Happy we booked this place!

Loved the cabin. Great for a getaway. Had a great time and hopefully will be coming back soon!

We loved our stay over Thanksgiving with our kids and grandkids. The house was comfortable with plenty of room and fantastic views of the lake below and the mountains that surrounded us. Easy to get into Murphy for shopping and restaurants. We loved the Chop House!! We will book this house again!

Great getaway for couples. It was a nice, peaceful weekend.

Terri was a wonderful host. She gave us hiking and restaurant ideas and was accommodating to our 1 year old who can be a handful. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Big Canoe.

What a delightful place to stay. Plenty of room for the seven of us. It was great having the choice of playing ping pong, billiards, and such. Hiking was close by, and we were able to see multiple falls. So beautiful and peaceful.

Stayed at Helen Hideaway with my wife and 2 kids. My kids enjoyed having their own beds and TVs upstairs. My kids also enjoyed the arcade games in the game room. The hot tub was right outside from the game room allowing my wife to relax while the kids played.
