BABhouse Villa Jardim das Oliveiras [Olive Garden Villa] 155511/AL We invite you to our house, which was a garden planted by Pedro Machado, a grandson of the land who revived the agricultural building of his grandfather Júlio Machado. The house is modern, single-story and embraces the entire surroundings. On the slab of the house you will find a mural by the Argentine artist Tomas Facio, the work “Douro Paisagem Humana”. This mural is intended to honor the sacrifice of all the people of Douro who, with their hands, shaped the landscape of this wonderful region.

Quinta Vila Rachel is located in the Natural Park of Vale do Tua, in the heart of the Douro Region, with an activity focused on wine tourism and the production of natural and organic wines. The gorgeously designed house is located in a generations old family property and derives from the reconstruction of an ancient haystack made of stone where rabbits were once bred - hence its name (“Casa dos Coelhos” stands for “House of the Rabbits” in Portuguese).
