Beautiful Portuguese farm cottage nº 32172/AL

Experience life in the Portuguese countryside in a traditional family owned Quinta! Perfect for families with children :) Location: Located in the center of the village Vale, Arcos de Valdevez just across the street from the church, the whole property has more than 6 hectares, it’s located in one of the most famous wine regions (vinho verde) in the country and it offers the insights of traditional farming in Northern Portugal. Description: Your home is a cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other has a bunk bed. In the living room there is an expandable sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped to make you feel like home and the bathroom has a shower with hot water. We try to arrange the privacy and comfort of modern home in a rustic environment. Activities: In this Quinta (Portuguese farm) you can admire the great view of the whole valley, take a nice walk (1 km) to a small waterfall and natural swimming pool, enjoy some quality time with the pigs, sheep or ducks on the property or taste the home made jams, smoked meat or liquors produced by the owner. For the nature lovers this is the place to start a hike in Peneda-Geres National Park and there is a local company that organizes tours and canoe rides. Getting around I you arrive by car, free parking is available on site. Closest city is Arcos de Valdevez (8 km away). It is well connected by bus with Porto, Lisbon, Braga and there is a direct bus from Porto airport. From Arcos to Vale there is a local bus service twice a day and taxi is available for around 10 euros. Pick up can be arranged for a fee, if agreed beforehand.

This comfortable rural house is located in the village of Lindoso, in the heart of the Peneda Gerês National Park, Alto Minho region. The village of Lindoso is well known for its Medieval Castle and one of the largest clusters of typical granite granaries (”espigueiros”). This is an old stone house next to an old water mill. Both have been rebuilt in harmony with the traditional architecture of the region. It is an invitation to enjoy the peace and the landscapes of the rural environment. We spent one week in the beautiful old mill with 2 families. The house is beautiful and the river and surrounding nature was excellent for the kids (15, 13, 10, 9, 8) to fish, play in the water, build a hut, read in the hammock and more. There is much to see and do in and from Arcos de Valdevez, such waterfalls and walks in the National Park and cultural visits to Braga, Guimaraes, Porto etc. Communication with Mariana and Rui was easy. We very much enjoyed our stay!

wow! the grounds and views of this place are something money can't buy, the memories of looking over the national park from the stunning pool will stay with me forever... we spent 90% of our time outside, making use of the bbq every night. we were 4 adults and 2 children, thus indoor space was just enough for sleeping and bobbing I and out, not quite enough to all sit and watch the tc, but you just don't want to do that anyway. more than enough though if its just 4 people. there are loads of toys in the basement which we made use off - table tennis and there are also kayaks and access to river if you're brave! close to waterfalls and hikes and Flore will send you many recommendations. was just a beautiful place to stay. Flore, my only criticism is please provide more fans as high summer is very hot at night.

After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, enchanting... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)
