Beautiful apartment style lodging in the outskirts of charming Guijo De Santa Barbara. Paloma and her husband went out of there way to make us comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics and they brought bread for breakfast each day. Additionally, the use of reclaimed wood and repurposed family heirlooms and farming antiques add a very special touch to this place. A short walk will bring you into town, where you can catch the low trail to the trabuquete. Walking or driving up the hill through town will allow a view from above, a close-up look at the Plaza de Toros, and beyond that, you can hike to the refugio. I’m thrilled that Guijo has this wonderful new accommodation!

The duplex is very cool, everything is very clean with lots of light, I recommend it. The access system with digital keys also seemed like a good idea. 0 Problems with David's accommodation 10/10. The town is super nice and the mountain with snow in May is incredible!! I'll repeat in winter if I can.

The house is spectacular, everything is very new and nothing is missing. Beautiful views and very well located. Javier is very attentive,kind and willing to any problem. I recommend it and will be back soon.

My wife and I stayed four days. The place is very quiet with what you rest very well. Unfinished places to visit. The apartment is very cozy and for two people perfect.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped and well located apartment with short distances to visit the main points of interest in the area (Valle del Jerte, Valle de La Vera, Monfragüe, etc.) . They are mountain roads, but paved, safe and with short distances. Although it is advertised as a second floor, it is actually a first. It's like ground floor and floor. It is not a problem the steps and that my wife and I have some mobility issues. It only has one AC unit for the entire home, but since the rooms are distributed round it is more than enough. Also, at night it is not always necessary.

Despite the first impression when going up the road that leads to Cabezas Bajas, the surprise of finding that small town of fairytale houses made it worthwhile (we also got used to going up and down the mountain by car very quickly). Tania was lovely, she had a nice touch with us at breakfast and we loved chatting with her and also meeting the owners of everything and the farm. In addition, during those days there were several couples with dogs like us who really enjoyed the place. The apartment has what you need, and you have to bring food if you're not going to leave the village often because the tranquility that exists is partly due to the fact that there are no shops. The area is very well maintained, it has everything you need. The views are spectacular and there is a great viewpoint. It's a good starting point for hiking trails like we did and visiting places in the area. Tania gave us great recommendations. We'll be back to look for snow.

For our first Airbnb experience Casa Rurales managed by Paula was above and beyond what we would have imagined. Barco de Avila is a small, quaint town with the magic of its castle, river, and better yet, its people. Everyone seems to know everyone. As visitors, even with instructions, we got a little lost. We were helped by very nice locals & Paula welcomed us from the street. On the outside, Casa Rurales has a mixture of rustic with modern. Inside, while modern, it is homey, cozy, and spacious. As it was cool during our visit, Paula had a fire burning in the fireplace in the living room. She gave us a tour of the kitchen (fully stocked with everything to cook with, eat on, eat with), the interior yard (table, chairs, grill), and three rooms, each with their own bathroom. Paula also left us a list of places to visit and eat. Unfortunately, we were staying very little time. We look forward to our next visit, hopefully with more time. If available, we will stay here again in the future.

the stay in this apartment was great , clean, spacious ,the location is very good and we found it easy to park in the surroundings. Both Juana in writing and her son by call treated us very well when we asked them any questions.

Perfect house!!, everything is very clean and new, good location, well equipped. Good recommendations from Mario, routes , restaurants… The area of the Jerte Valley is very nice, with many activities that can be done and visited.

The apartment is located in a second without an elevator at the top of the village. You can park very close by. It was very clean and tidy and the kitchen is the right one. Slightly sparse on toilet paper and only one bag of trash for 4 days. Jesus explained what we could see and was very kind. It is a quiet place with the possibility of many routes.

Both the apartment and the location are perfect for spending a few quiet days. The area is beautiful and has a lot of things to see nearby. As for the hostess and her father, the two lovely people who were always attentive to anything we needed. The experience has been great, definitely if we return to the area we already know where we will stay!

The stay was very good, the village is very nice with the mountains next to the river... The apartment is very nice, just like the photos. One drawback is that the jacuzzi, when we turned on the jets, released a lot of residue, I guess it was due to maintenance... The sheets were a little stained, but they seemed clean... Apart from that, they were quite good. Noelia answering the quick and clear messages, very kind the truth! Thank you so much.

This is the second time I've visited Maria's place, and every time I come it's even better or there's something new. Maria is constantly concerned with improving the place and making guests feel at home and what's even better… that they love it and come back at all costs. They're lovely hosts! Fernando was attentive to everything from the moment we made the reservation, answering all the questions that came up. He clearly indicated the location of the accommodation and recommended places and restaurants to visit before arrival. The apartment was pristine and cared for in detail. They offered us several recommendations and places to visit in the valley that we listened to and it was a complete success. If we go back, we'll definitely stay here again.
