Holiday rentals with a kayak in Van Buren County

Such a beautiful location and wonderful home! From the moment we walked in we were speechless. The host thought of every little detail and our family would love to make this an annual visit! If you are thinking about booking…DO IT!!

This is a hidden gem! Our group stayed here for a weekend and had an awesome time. We loved the hot tub, the cozy couch and big common spaces, the tricked out finished garage space, and easy access to the lakes (both by kayaking or a nice 25 min path walk). Aaron is a phenomenal host. He stocked the place with anything we could’ve needed and more. Would stay here again for sure. Only knock is we overestimated the number of bedrooms by 1, but that might’ve been our own fault. We had someone sleep on the nice big couch so it wasn’t an issue.

Pros: Sean was everything we needed and want in a host: accomodating, knowledgeable, and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your house! Sean's place was very clean and full of indoor and outdoor activities. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and backyard dock entrance into Paw Paw lake. Kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking tool that we needed for our stay. We had trouble finding nice houses like this in the area that are pet-friendly so were really glad that our furry babies were able to stay with us. Cons: Some of the blinds were missing in the upstairs bedrooms which, if you're not a light sleeper like me, shouldn't matter too much. I did feel the $1K a night was steep but inflation has hiked up everything else these days too.

Super cute place! Our son had so much fun just hanging out there for two days. Lots of things provided that weren’t even listed! Sand toys, beach chairs, life jackets, towels for the beach, puzzles and toys to play with inside… plus the kitchen had just about everything we needed to cook meals at the place. We would definitely book this place again !

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We had such a great time at the cottage on the lake! The place was cozy, clean, and exactly as described! Perfect for families with kids- they had sooo many indoor and outdoor toys for the kids which was super helpful. The house was spacious, with plenty of space/room for the kids to run around and play. We also rented their boat during our stay, which made for a relaxing time on the water. Our host was friendly and responsive, which made everything even easier. Highly recommend—would definitely come back!

We’ve had many Airbnb stays over the years, in many countries and states, and I have to say that this house is on our top 5 list. It’s modern, super clean and super spacious (we were a group of 7). It’s stocked with towels, stocked with toiletries, stocked with kitchen supplies, stocked with games and toys. Anything you need is there. Kayaks, corn hole, jumbo jenga. We had so much fun from the grandparents all the way to the grandkids. It’s hard to find a waterfront property without a lot of stairs and with the accessibility challenges my mother has, this house was perfect, as it only had two little steps to get into the kitchen. Thank you so much!

We loved this place. The ducks in the lake that visited frequently. The details were carefully chosen. The comfort, the stove, the spacing gave us room to move, the games created memories for us to enjoy and talk about. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Beautiful, peaceful, serene - Sandra's place was comfortable for all our guests and was super well stocked with everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Highly recommend if you are looking for a slower pace weekend getaway.

Absolutely perfect home for a peaceful family getaway! Couldn’t recommend more!! The house was perfectly decorated with bespoke touches, mixing comfort with a beautiful style… you can tell how much love they’ve put into the home to give it the most special vibe. Everything just gives you a sense of peace, matching all the nature. Waking up surrounded by the forrest from every angle was priceless. The house has everything you need for a good time with a family (kids or no kids). We had our little one with us and the hosts had everything we needed, making the stay so much easier and hassle free. The local recos were also great! The walkable beaches were so pretty and fun for the whole family. Highly recommend!!! :)

It’s a good place to stay ,nice lake to go fishing in I caught a lot of bass. The house is clean and head plenty of beds. Hot tub is very nice , the house is in a peaceful area I don’t regret picking this place.

We loved staying here! Very quiet and peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the porch, since it was screened in. Not a far drive to South Haven, it was a perfect place to stay out of the busy town. Holly was very nice and quick to respond. We will be booking in the future!

This place felt like home as soon as we arrived! Beautiful quiet location, very welcoming home that beautifully decorated. Can’t say enough positive about the place and our stay!

When you walk in you beautiful floors and a very nice air freshener. Comfortable beds and couches also a very nice and chill neighborhood. We would’ve like to stay longer but next time for sure we will.

Great place to stay! the loft area is tiny, would only recommend for additional sleeping quarters if an absolute need.

Only stayed 2 nights but this cottage was the perfect spot to relax after exploring Saugatuck and Holland. One morning, we kayaked around Mill Lake before heading to Saugatuck (about a 45-minute drive with no traffic) to hike the Dunes North Outer Loop Beach Trail. Afterward, we drove just five minutes to downtown for dinner and drinks, then made our way to Oval Beach to catch the sunset. On another day, we visited Windmill Island for the Tulip Festival, spent some time downtown for dinner, and ended the evening back at the cottage soaking in the hot tub. Thanks for the short notice booking, LOVED the cottage! :)

Great location, excellent house and superb host! Our girls weekend was a success since we stayed at this beautiful clean house on the lake with the most responsive host anyone could ask for. The house is on a cove of the lake which makes it peaceful and really relaxing while also located within 15 minutes to wineries, beaches and restaurants. One day we didn't leave the house since we were having such a great time. We'll be back next year for our girls weekend!

A cute cottage in a great location. We were in town for a wedding so it was a quick stay, but we enjoyed it. It was clean, good amount of space and close to activities!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the 4th of July with our son at the cottage.

We had such an amazing stay on Jim's property. The lake, easy to get to in a short walk, was very serene with a ton of activities to do. We pedal- and paddle-boarded and also used the aqua-cycle! We also sat around the firepit and saw a ton of shooting stars. The bikes were also great, and it wasn't a far drive from South Haven where we went to the farmer's market and would have gone to the beach if it were warmer. Although there were two RVs with people also on the front of the property, it still felt pretty private and everyone kept to themselves. The most interaction with other people was walking on the boardwalk to the lake and hanging out on the dock. Such a fun weekend!

Grocer nearby and lots of beautiful roads to bike. I stayed for a short time but will be back. It's a series of cabins with a social area in the middle which I imagine in the summer is probably fun to mingle with the neighbors. Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at Caroline’s place! Check-in and check-out were seamless, and communication was quick and helpful throughout. The home is set on a peaceful, charming canal that leads out to a larger lake—such a great spot. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
