The cabin overlooks the entire bay with the majestic Cederberg mountains in the distance. Erna's listing of Heron's Place is an absolute must to try. Our stay was just too short. We arranged a boat cruise on the river and because of the private jetty, they were able to pick us up at our doorstep and drop us off there again. The area is beautifully quiet and on the river. I would recommend it.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, Amarentia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful — their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to our trip. The town is a small, peaceful gem, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from the fast pace of the CBD. There’s something so refreshing about the slower rhythm and friendly local atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely waking up to the stunning ocean view each morning — it was so calming and beautiful. We truly felt relaxed and recharged. Would definitely love to come back again!

Great view of the boats from the balcony, very tidy and luxurious apartment. Check-in was straight forward and Susan was very responsive and nice. One consideration is that the production of dried fish, bokkom, might smell sometimes if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.

Carna is a very friendly and welcoming host. The apartment is beautifuly decorated with thoughtful touches and the view from the kitchen and lounge is amazing. It is a very short stroll down to the beach- the location cannot be better.

Charlie and his wife were wonderful hosts. Words cannot describe how amazing our stay was. The pictures honestly don’t do this place any justice - a beautiful home with breathtaking views! The attention to detail was impressive; everything we needed was provided. We’re definitely coming back!
