Each meal will be paired with a 1/2 bottle of white, red, or sparkling wine from the region. • Throughout the meal, I’ll share insights into Venice’s rich gastronomic heritage, including its deep love of seafood and the role of spices in the city’s commerce and cuisine. Contact me for an evening option!] I'll have the pleasure of sharing this unique experience with you, cooking together the authentic recipes of Venetian and Italian cuisine, teaching you the techniques to carry them out. I’ll lead you on a journey of discovery that will start from the historic Rialto market in the beating heart of the city, where we'll choose the best seasonal ingredients to prepare an authentic Italian meal. We’ll talk about the history of the market and its delicacies before heading to my cooking workshop with its lovely private courtyard. In my kitchen you will learn the recipes to prepare and cook homemade pasta or gnocchi with a delicious sauce made from scratch. A traditional Venetian starter or second course based on fish, meat or vegetables. And the most famous Venetian dessert, the Tiramisù. End your class by sitting down to enjoy the meal together accompanied by an excellent local wine. Things to keep in mind: The market is closed on national holidays. On monday only the fish market is closed, we’ll focus more on meat and vegetables. Vegetarian options available.

I'll conduct you also in one of the oldest winebars, dated back 1462, and I'll guide you out of your comfort zone, making you try something different! During our 3.5 hour walk, I will show you the Venetian day-to-day life from the point of view of an ex gondolier. You will discover the authentic side of my city, off the beaten path to lesser-known treasures along the beautiful winding streets, and even to the most touristic places with an emphasis on Venetian traditions and daily life. We will stop along the canals, where I will explain the history of the iconic gondolas and tell tales about the lives of gondoliers - the most authentic Venice profession. We will explore the hidden streets and squares, including the ones with the most uncommon names, and visit traditional workshops to experience local crafters at work. Along the walk, we will stop in 2 traditional “bacari” (Venetian bar), where locals go to drink and mingle. Here we will enjoy some traditional Venetian Cicchetti (small plates of local specialties) and a glass of Prosecco or regional wine. Other things to note The experience that I offer is to walk as Venetians do, stopping occasionally for having a word with the friends that we meet on the street, making you feel as Venetian as possible.

Starting from the Accademia bridge we will take a walk through the lovely Dorsoduro district. We will walk down little calli( the venetians word for alleys) to discover the Peggy Guggenheim museum, palaces full of history and charm, small art galleries to arrive at Punta della Dogana one of the best spot in Venice to take pictures with the St. Mark's square in the background. After that I'll show you the squero the tipical gondola's factory explaing you the way they are still built. We will finish our walk enjoing a wine and some cicchetti (venetians tapas) in one of the most famous and historic place of Dorsoduro. Other things to note when floods you need wellingtons!! This experience does not included any entry to the Pegghy Gugghenheim museum or any other museum
