We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

We are very happy with the accommodation! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail, everything contributed to a comfortable and peaceful stay. The space is cozy, larger than we thought, well cared for and with a wonderful view, ideal for relaxing after a day full of adventures. An experience we certainly want to repeat! 🏡✨

Absolute dream of a place. Stunning grounds, surrounded by the most gorgeous gardens, lush greenery and the sound of the birds. Great swimming pool to chill after a day exploring the region. The accommodation is 5*, comfy beds and bedding, all the kitchen amenities and set up was perfect and comfortable for our group of 4 adults and two children. José was always available to give us recommendations of restaurantes, wineries and more, and Hugo always around to help with anything you need. Ah, also fresh bread every morning - so thoughtful. We had an unforgettable stay and will cherish our time at Villa Margaridi for years to come! Obrigada!

We love and hope to repeat the stay at Toorgo House in the future! Both Mr. Manuel and his son Pedro were extremely helpful and attentive throughout the process and stay. Always very available to help us both at check-in and check-out, they even sent a list of recommendations for the area! The house is even better live! Super clean and decorated with care and quality. We feel right at home! Mr. Manuel's family was also kind enough to welcome us with a delicious birthday cake, a gesture much appreciated by all (and especially by the birthday girl!). The entire property is very well maintained, including the garden! The area is nice and easy to access with amenities nearby! I dare say it was one of the best accommodations we've ever stayed in as a family! We highly recommend it!

our stay with Ana was wonderful! She welcomed us warmly and explained everything well. We received a welcome gift. Ana responded immediately to our questions. The house is beautiful and very quiet. Beautiful sunset to see! lovely swimming pool. all rooms are beautifully and practically furnished. And have their own bathroom with everything on and off. The terrace has several seating areas. The kitchen is fully equipped. In short, enjoyed very much. Enough room to park your car.

I spent my birthday at Dulce's house - it was truly a beautiful experience. Lovely countryside, beautiful weather, and Dulce's house was perfect for myself and 5 friends. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and restaurants about 30 minutes drive away. She also left us fresh bread and blueberries. A beautiful escape into nature, would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

We spent a few days with the handballteam in porto and we had enough space for all of us. the appartement had everything we needed and the communication with the owner was easy, fast and very helpfull. we can only recommend.

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Our stay was very good! The house is cozy, comfortable and perfect for large groups like ours (we were 8 people). It was all very clean and well organized, with all the amenities necessary to make us feel at home. The location is excellent and the host was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. This place is beautiful, with amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, and lots of other treats. It was a real highlight at a time flexible to you. The gardens and surrounds are stunning as well as the pool & terrace. We stayed as a group of 10 mid 40s ladies and had a fab time.. just not long enough. The breakfast staff were lovely. The rooms with all their ensuite bathrooms were brilliant and the sound insulation was impressive. The host was also very informative and responsive. Don't hesitate just book it!

Our group of 9 stayed for 3 nights in May, and Marissa’s place exceeded all of our expectations, behind an unassuming door next to a mini supermarket was an oasis of style and tranquility, each room individually decorated with quirky artefacts and quality furniture. Everything was spotless, and the bathroom had everything you could possibly need, we didn’t use the kitchens ( only for coffee) but they looked pretty well equipped. Our favourite spot was a gorgeous terrace garden where we could all meet in the morning for the debrief of the night before, so pretty with lots of stunning plants and flowers. The photos on the website do not do this place justice, it’s just wonderful. The guide book of information was well thought out and very helpful for restaurant recommendations and things to do. The location is excellent, with everything in walking distance, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Thank you Marissa and son for unforgettable stay.

Surribes was fantastic. It was exactly as it looked in the photos, comfortable and great for a relaxing stay. Rita was a great host, checked us in smoothly and on hand to answer questions. Happy to recommend.

As a family with a lot of teens, I loved how many spaces this house had for hanging out. Also, having so many rooms with two single beds instead of shared beds is so nice when you have a lot of teens along. The outdoor spaces are so beautiful and peaceful and the yard is full of plants and flowers. We enjoyed the ease to reach Guimarães. We would happily return to this lovely home.

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Beautiful view. Bring groceries so you can stay at house and enjoy the view and pool. Take your time driving the roads. All roads have amazing views and lush surroundings.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

Rui went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for our family—including providing a crib, high chair, and even a baby bathtub for our 14-month-old. His thoughtfulness set the tone for what was meant to be a dream trip with our kids to meet their great-grandmother. However, just as we were about to leave, Europe experienced a massive power outage, and Portugal went dark. We weren’t sure if our long-awaited trip would even happen. After over 10 hours on the phone with no resolution, we asked Rui to start processing a refund, fearing the worst. But nearly 30 hours later, we finally got through to international support and managed to book a late-night flight, arriving a full day later and losing two days of our trip. When we told Rui, he immediately extended our reservation so we wouldn’t miss out on the experience we had hoped for. He met us at the house, personally escorted us in, and gave us a warm welcome that made all the travel stress melt away.
