Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vlachata

We had an amazing week at the end of May, the pool and view are just incredible and even better than they look in the pictures. Having a local shop and restaurants within walking distance was a complete bonus too. Would recommend boho for breakfast, Trapazaki bar and restaurant for food or a few drinks and Gefri (we didn’t try any others close by). Lovely beaches are also within a 10 minute drive. The air con is also super effective if you’re worried about the heat.

The villa is absolutely beautiful. It looks just as it does in the picture with the incredible view and clean, considered interior. But what you can’t see is the beautiful construction. Every detail is perfect. Kothreas is at the top of a mountain but it’s easy enough to drive to the delightful seaside villages of Fiskardo and Assos and the extraordinary beaches in northern Kefalonia. The mountain village is charming and rustic with walnut, fig and pomegranate trees, stone buildingd and surrounding hillside that smells of wild thyme & oregano and where you hear goat bells. Nearby there are authentic and excellent mountain tavernas and larger villages like Maganos. The pool is absolutely lovely. We paid to get it heated which was money well spent as our kids stayed in it for hours. Foula and her team were incredible hosts. So kind, informative and welcoming, and it was amazing having a housekeeper every second day. Thank you so much - we hope to be back! Efcharisto!!

We had a wonderful stay Elina! Villa was comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pool was lovely. We enjoyed every moment & felt right at home. We would stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommended! We did not hire a car but would recommend doing so if wanting to venture around the island. Taxis are easily available if needed for shorter trips. Plenty of mini-markets and restaurants within a 25 minute walk. Received plenty of info and further support via email prior to arrival and our host was available to answer any queries during the stay via phone messaging app.

Absolutely amazing stay at Villa Blue! My family spent 2 fantastic weeks at this beautiful property & it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning panoramic view across the pool & the most amazing place to enjoy the beautiful sunrise & sunsets The villa itself was immaculate & thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need from kitchen essentials to pool towels, wifi & BBQ. The layout was spacious & comfortable, plus friendly cleaner every few days We all enjoyed the great pool Our hosts were fantastic, incredibly responsive & attentive, always just a message away & helped with local recommendations. Their hospitality was spot on. Meeting us on arrival to direct us to the villa was very helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better villa or base to explore Kefalonia. Die Wohnung war einfach der absolute Hammer und ist noch toller, als auf den Fotos! Der Außenbereich ist fantastisch und der Blick aufs Meer ist so toll! Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Als wir ankammen, waren Milch, Früchte, Käse, Schinken, griechischer Joghurt & Wasser im Kühlschrank! Zudem waren frische Semmeln & Honig da. Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut! Die Wohnung ist mega groß und sauber. Zudem ist sie sehr gut ausgestattet und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt!!! Die Lage ist auch super. Zu Fuß ist es nicht weit bis nach Lixouri! Zu Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war auch super! Wir können die Wohnung zu 100% weiter empfehlen! VIELEN DANK FÜR ALLES🫶!

Very responsive host ,location was perfect for Myrtos beach and nearby amenities . Driving in this part of the island is also good, with reasonably good roads.

Eleni was super helpful. Her instructions to find her place were spot on. Her apartment was opposite a supermarket and walkable (2 mins) to the Main Street where all the restaurants \ marina were located. One of the best well stocked apartment we have stayed in. It is also located next to a school, but not an issue for us as the school term finished the first night of our stay.

The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They very kindly gave us a welcome hamper of food for our first morning and gave us early check-in and late check-out. They even gave us a hamper with nappies and some supplies for the baby which was so kind and thoughtful. The villa is beautiful, clean and is even nicer than the photos can show. We hired a car as there isn't a huge amount in the immediate area but it's so peaceful and it's really easy to get taxi's if you don't have a car. We will definitely book again on our next visit to Kefalonia. Thank you again x

As we arrived in the dark, Konstantinos waited at the airport to guide us to the apartment. We got many local recommendations. We stayed for a week and had the possibility to get our lines changed halfway through our stay if necessary. The apartment had everything needed and was close to some beaches and restaurants by car. All in all, he went out of his way to make our stay perfect.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich traumhaft, alles ist super sauber und genau so wie beschrieben gewesen. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist wirklich traumhaft und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Ein einziges Manko ist es, dass man „Nachbarn“ in der Ferienwohnung nebenan durchaus laut hört wenn diese spät noch aktiv sind. Dafür kann der Host aber natürlich nichts und die Unterkunft selbst ist absolut empfehlenswert !

Wonderful and peaceful place. It was clean and tidy. Zicos was very kind to us, leaving some welcoming fruit and helping with tips for beaches, villages and the necessary hot-spots to enjoy Ithaki. Sunrises and sunsets in the terrace looking at Cefalonia were overwhelming and made us stay at the place more than we thought. We’ll repeat for sure.

Die Insel Kefalonia ist schon eine Reise wert. Unser Aufenthalt bei Lambros machte den Urlaub zu einem perfekten Reiseerlebnis. Die eigentliche und brillante Gastgeberin vor Ort ist Maria, die Mutter von Lambros. Sie wohnt nebenan und empfängt und begleitet die Gäste über den gesamten Zeitraum des Aufenthaltes mit großer Herzlichkeit. Sie verwöhnte uns mit Kuchen und Marmelade und versorgte uns mit frischer Wäsche und hilfreichen Tips. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die große Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer ist das Herzstück der Unterkunft. Im oberen Geschoß sind zwei kleine Schlafzimmer mit nicht ganz so bequemen Federkernmatratzen. Das Haus ist gut mit dem (Miet) Auto erreichbar und der Ort Farsa, verkehrsgünstig unweit von Argostoli gelegen, ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Zusammgefaßt, eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft die es Wert ist, ein weiteres Mal besucht zu werden. Der Abschied ist uns wirklich schwer gefallen. Danke Maria für deine Warmherzigkeit❤️!

Notre séjour dans cette location a été parfait, la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Le logement est très confortable, ainsi que la piscine. Nous recommandons à 100%

Ο χώρος ήταν εύκολα προσβάσιμος και οι οδηγίες της κ. Λαυρέντιας ήταν πολύ κατατοπιστικές. Αρχικά το δωμάτιο είχε ιδιωτικό parking, που μας έκανε μεγάλη εντύπωση και ήταν ωραίο που το αυτοκίνητο μας φυλασσόταν σε κλειστό χώρο. Το δωμάτιο ήταν υπέροχο, καθαρό, πολύ ευρύχωρο και ακόμα καλύτερο από τις φωτογραφίες. Η κ. Λαυρέντια, ήταν ευγενέστατη, μας υποδέχτηκε με χαμόγελο και ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετική. Μας παρείχε και άλλο σετ από σεντόνια-πετσέτες και μια μέρα μας έφτιαξε εκείνη πρωινό, με προϊόντα από τον κήπο της. Το πρωινό ήταν υπέροχο και υπερπλήρες και μια πανέμορφη κίνηση προς εμάς. Το δωμάτιο απέχει μόλις 4 λεπτά, με αυτοκίνητο, από την κοντινότερη παραλία, τις Άμμες και μόλις περίπου 15 λεπτά από το Αργοστόλι. Ήταν από τα πιο όμορφα δωμάτια που έχουμε διαμείνει και θα το προτείναμε ανεπιφύλακτα. Επίσης η κ. Λαυρέντια ήταν πολύ επικοινωνιακή και μας βοήθησε σε ό,τι κι αν χρειαστήκαμε.

Wow! This place is truly magical. Breathtaking views, a gorgeous pool terrace, spacious & comfortable interiors- All located in a beautiful village in the hills, conveniently located 10 mins drive from stunning beaches. Athina was so helpful with local knowledge & places to see, we had a superb time as a family of 8. She left a welcome pack of local fruit & veg aswell as honey, jam & wine, cheeses & butter. We felt so welcome and at home. There’s a mini market 5 mins walk away with all the basics & larger shops in small towns in 15 mins drive. Delicious & friendly restaurants & tavernas within 15 mins. The area is easy to drive around. Top 3 hot spots: Vouti beach/ Taverna, Assos & Fteri beach on the water taxi. My 10 year old loved feeding the village cats & seeing the goats walk past with their bells. Great places to swim, snorkel & jump off rocks - The water is the most turquoise I have ever seen! Forever memories made. This house, Kefalonia & Nifi has stolen our hearts.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt – auch wenn das Wetter uns leider einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht hat. Dina ist eine unglaublich herzliche Gastgeberin, wir haben uns von Anfang an total wohlgefühlt! ✨🦋 Die Wohnung war super sauber, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet und der Smart-TV war bei Regenwetter wirklich Gold wert. Auch der Außenbereich mit den schönen Gartenmöbeln und dem Pool sah toll aus – schade, dass wir ihn wetterbedingt nicht nutzen konnten. Besonders gerührt haben uns das liebe Willkommensgeschenk und sogar ein kleines Abschiedspräsent – wir waren echt überwältigt! Danke, liebe Dina, auch für deine vielen Tipps und deine Herzlichkeit. Es war wirklich schön, dein Gast zu sein – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! ☀️

We spent an amazing ten days at this lovely property. It took us by surprise on arrival, photos really don’t do it justice. The rear is nicely enclosed, and the front overlooks an olive grove. The garden around the property itself has an olive tree, several fruit trees, flowers and even a couple of tortoises. 🐢 Some local products were left in the kitchen for us when we arrived, always helpful! The area is not touristy at all, which we liked, but a car is essential if you want to explore the island properly. Good central location. There is on street park close by. Would definitely stay here again! 💙🇬🇷

Had a wonderful 3 weeks stay. The house was lovely and cosy. Had everything we needed and more. Chrisanthi was lovely and helpful, came in every day with fresh bedding and towels and kept everything clean and tidy. Gave us fresh eggs and vegetables every now and then. We loved the beach cove which was a 15 min walk to, sandy beach and the water was clear and warm with comfy sunbeds. Used the pool to cool off in the late afternoons. Secure internet with wifi. Supermarket about a 5 minute walk with every day needs. Need a car go to the big Lidl. The restaurants nearby and within walking distance were very friendly and we had some really good meals and i highly recommend the local wine, it was delicious. We slept well and came away feeling well rested. Thank you 😊

We had a wonderful stay - a group of 4 plus a toddler. The space is great, very functional especially with a little one, and beautiful spots to sit and eat either looking over the stunning ocean, or under the olive trees in the yard. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, good communication, and were flexible with check in/out time. There was housekeeping included every couple of days which was an unexpected treat. We swam at the beach down the hill every day - it was beautiful and quiet. Highly recommend.

We had a great time staying at Leventis apartments! The house is clean, spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a kitchen that has everything you need! The iskand and pretty big and there is a lot to explore and Leventis is well placed on the island, close to Argostoli and the airport. Within a 10 min reach you find shops, restaurants and several great beaches. We are definately coming back!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison très confortable et calme de Panos. La grande piscine est un véritable atout. Les commerces sont dans la rue voisine, plusieurs plages sont à proximité et des randonnées sont accessibles à pied depuis la maison. Panos a été très réactif à nos demandes et ses recommandations fort judicieuses. Un séjour idéal !
