Bush and Bay Cottage

Up a private right of way, set in native bush, this modernised cottage offers views of Waikawa Bay. Wake up to birdsong. Watch the tui flitting between the trees and maybe a weka crossing the lawn. Gaze at native bush and hills or watch the boats in the Bay. A wonderful place to chill out in the last of sun. Walking distance to bike tracks, the beach & marina/pub. A secluded treasure close to town and bay.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to Picton and Waikawa Bay yet far enough away to feel you are a long way from both. Perfect environment for peace and quiet, but also perfect central spot to explore Marlborough. Ample space for children and animals to play. Plenty of parking space, including a boat. If you are travelling in from the North Island and need a rental vehicle, we are happy to recommend a local rental car company and provide you with a quote. Let us know.

All downstairs , garden studio,queen bedroom plus a small lounge, & bbq patio, set on the sunny side of Waikawa at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. Waikawa is a microclimate very sheltered and peaceful, private outdoor living on the guest patio, BBQ, Sheep on the farm 5 minutes to the safe swimming beach, 4 min to the local marina, Jolly Roger Café bar. 8 min drive to Picton's shops, restaurants and ferry terminal. There are many bush walks. Karaka Point Maori Pa Site is four km .

Herd of Cows?! Quiet, comfortable and fun accommodation just 15 minutes walk through the picturesque Picton Marina to cafes, bars, shops, theatres, cruises and walking tracks. Free pickup and setdown from ferry may be available. Transfer from Blenheim by arrangement. Be warned......this great priced accommodation is probably nothing like you have ever stayed in previously. My folly and a labour of love! If you don't have a sense of humour or don't like cows.....don't book in! :-)

This is a Self-contained cabin with comfy queen bed, sun-soaked deck off-street parking & just 7 min drive from Picton the gateway to the South Island. Centrally located to explore coastal drives, bush & bike tracks. Just a 5 min walk to the Waikawa beach for a swim, 10min walk to our local pub & 8 min drive to the ferry, perfect for a stopover, please note there’s no cooking facilities.
