Holiday houses in Wakwella

We stayed in this beautiful house for two weeks and can see why it is a guest favorite. The house has everything you need and has lovely outdoor and pool areas. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and it is nice to walk the local roads. It is only a few minutes walk to the nearest grocery stores. If you want to go to Galle or Unawatuna it is only a short Tuktuk ride to beaches, shops and restaurants. The team that manages the property are professional and friendly, and any questions or challenges are resolved quickly and efficiently. We recommend the house and would be happy to return on a later occasion.

We have just returned from 7 wonderful nights at Sudath's beautiful beach home in Ambalangoda. The villa is tastefully furnished and decorated with a delightful mixture of the old and new. The location is superb and we spent hours sitting on the veranda or the beach patio watching the waves (it is Monsoon season so no swimming) and reading and relaxing. Sudath was very helpful and welcoming. He arranged reliable and reasonably priced airport pick up and drop off as well as helping us with taxis and tuk tuks whenever we needed. A special mention must go to his team too, especially Chamali who was so very friendly, helpful and the most wonderful cook. The breakfasts were amazing and she kindly made me vegan pancakes and delicious coconut roti along with home made jam, fresh fruit juice and tropical fruits aplenty. We hadn't planned on eating much at the villa, but the food was so good we ended up eating there every single night of our stay! Vege curries and Kottu to die for.

Mit Abstand die absolut beste Unterkunft die wir jemals hatten. Schon von der Kontaktaufnahme bis hin zum Check out einfach alles super. Charith und Tharaka sind die Perlen des Hauses. Wir wurden während unseres Aufenthalts liebevoll umsorgt. Charith überraschte uns jeden Morgen mit einem leckeren Frühstück und ging sogar auf die Sonderwünsche der Kinder ein. Die Villa wurde täglich gereinigt, frische Blumen standen auf dem Tisch... einfach liebevolle Detailarbeit. Es ist ein super gemütliches offenes Haus, mit großen Räumen ohne unnötigen Kram, aber viel Liebe zum Detail. Die tolle Aussicht vom Pool über die Reisfelder und gleichzeitige Privatsphäre spricht für sich. Wer sich hier nicht wohlfühlt, dem kann tatsächlich nicht mehr weiter geholfen werden. Zusammengefasst: Urlaub vom feinsten ab der ersten Minute.

Asela is a great host!!! Very hospitable and friendly, always ready to help with all issues. We lived in the villa for a whole month. The house is always very clean, cleaning every few days. Convenient location of the house, just 10 minutes by tuktuk to the sea and all the establishments. We are very happy that we ended up here I highly recommend this villa, secluded accommodation surrounded by birds and beautiful nature Also really liked Asela's restaurant, one of the best we have visited! Thank you!

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Als afsluiter van onze reis door sri lanka was dit echt genieten. Heel prive met een heerlijk zwembad en mooie natuur. We hebben verschillende dieren kunnen spotten in en vanuit de tuin. We kregen super goede hulp voor tuktuk's en taxi's. Het huis worst dagelijks schoongemaakt en van drinkwater voorzien. Degene die dit doet is super vriendelijk en overlegd iedere keer wanneer het uitkomt. De omgeving is leuk en er zitten meerdere leuke restaurants op 5 min met de tuktuk. Dit was veruit ons mooiste verblijf in Sri Lanka!

What a beautiful place. Light, airy with wonderful sea views. Nissanka and Damnika were stars. Always helpful and available. Great cooking. Easy walking everywhere. Will be back. Only slight downside was that the wifi was erratic which wasn’t great for working.

We had a lovely stay at Patricia’s house! Located within the fort, it is a stone’s throw from lovely restaurants as well as historic sites and the cricket ground. Patricia sent a really comprehensive list of recommendations before our stay, which were very helpful and Chandra was on hand to make us feel welcomed and looked after (including a cooked breakfast). There are three bedrooms at the property - two downstairs (two singles and a double) that are connected via a courtyard with a lovely plunge pool. The third bedroom is up a fairly steep set of stairs. Each bedroom has an en-suite. With two young children and two adults, we all opted to stay downstairs and it was plenty of space for us. Wir waren Mega zufrieden mit dieser Unterkunft. Laki ist so ein toller Gastgeber! Er hat uns viele Sachen gezeigt und Transfer zur Verfügung gestellt. Zudem war er zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und hat uns immer direkt geholfen. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und gepflegt. Man hat alles was man braucht. Wenn wir wieder nach Hikka kommen, dann definitiv wieder zu Laki! Danke 🩷
