I booked Karen’s micro cabin as a birthday trip for my mom, and it was absolutely perfect. Tucked into the peaceful forest of Halfmoon Bay, this cozy little retreat is full of charm and warmth. The wood stove kept us toasty in the evenings, and we especially loved the adorable outdoor shower—with very hot running water! It was such a unique and refreshing way to start the day. We did a beautiful hike through Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park, just a short drive away, and came back to total peace and quiet in the woods. The cabin is thoughtfully designed, super clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Karen was very responsive and helpful throughout our trip, and we felt truly taken care of. This was such a special experience—one we’ll both remember for a long time. Highly recommend!

This place is really special and exactly as it looks in the photos (but better in person!) We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and listening to the local birds in the trees that surround the cabin. The view from the terrace is really magnificent!! We also indulged in the wood fired hot tub to make the most out of the beautiful forest surroundings. This stay was really one to remember, and I'm already dreaming about coming back another time. The roadside parking space had plenty of room for one car, two vehicles would be a tight squeeze.

Had a truly wonderful time hiking, kayaking, shopping and dining, but great memories were made relaxing on the incredible deck of this spacious and clean home. The view is gorgeous with ocean, wildlife, forest, cruise ships and twinkling evening lights of Vancouver Island across the Salish Sea. Beds and linens are prime, all amenities are provided, Andrea is warm, welcoming and easy-going. She is attentive to any needs and sensitive to ensuring privacy. We would recommend this home for a stay in Halfmoon Bay.

We had a great stay at Sophie's place! The couple were very friendly and open to giving suggestions of places to visit in and around the area. The property itself was beautiful and we had a very nice breakfast in the garden which was very well maintained and kept. The interiors of the house were beautifully decorated. Overall would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Sunshine coast and would love to visit again :)
