Holiday rentals with lake access in Weligama Bay

My friends and me really liked the appartment. The location is very good, in a calm and friendly neighbourhood and very close to the beach. The owners are very kind and warm-hearted people.

We had such a wonderful stay! It is probably one of the best experiences we have had with Airbnb so far. The hosts Gayana and Priti Kumar are extremely friendly and caring hosts, who make you feel at home immediately. They will take care of any needs that you have and are always available. The home has everything you need for a long-term stay and is in a more quiet area away from any busy areas. There is beautiful nature and many exotic animals to observe. I can highly recommend staying there if you are looking for a peaceful place a little outside of Galle.

Amazing. Friendly hosts and very helpful. spacious rooms with a nice common area. recommend having your own bike or car as it is a 5 mins inside from the main road.

The stay was a real dream!! The private jetty on the lake and the bathtub in the garden.... speechless. And the beach is literally 2 minutes walk away... To repeat!

I had an amazing stay at La Maison VEDA. The loft apartment is beautiful and very well-equipped, with a modern kitchen (oven, stovetop, fridge), a large four-poster bed and a private terrace. Every day, I enjoyed the peaceful garden on the shores of Lake Koggala, where I was able to observe black and brown monkeys, varans, kingfishers, and even peacocks🦚! the richness of wildlife is extraordinary. Seeing fishermen going at sunrise on their traditional boats was a magical moment. I also participated in a yoga retreat with Aurélie, organized in the hotel next door, which could accommodate the 15 yogis participants we were. The VEDA House was the most intimate option, with a loft for rent and a 2 bedroom guesthouse by the lake. It was simply magical. Seniru and Samarasinghe were amazing. Super friendly and attentive hosts, with a comfortable and functional room right on the river. The bed was nice, and had a nice little kitchen, big fridge, table for eating and working, decent wifi, and decent bathroom. A nice quiet spot only a short walk to restaurants and the beach. They were also very kind with bringing me lunch and some fresh fruit. Highly recommended 😊

This is a perfect place for a laid back holiday, just far enough from Mirissa's hustles & bustles, but it's just 5/10 minutes drive if you hire a scotty. The place is new, have all the amenities, rooftop kitchen is a big plus. The host is super friendly and helpful, he kept providing us drinking water the whole time and he is going to install a water purifier in the apartment as well. We are the first guest here, we loved the place and would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! It was one of the most beautiful accommodations we had in Sri Lanka. Spotlessly clean and new, good air conditioning and what we liked best: A really nice quiet and private location. We were able to watch monkeys, birds and squirrels from the balcony. You are in the middle of nature and it is so relaxing 🥰 We were able to park our tuktuk in the yard and check in and out flexibly. The hosts are a family who live in the house next door and they are all so friendly and accommodating while giving us our privacy. We can't highly recommend it and would stay here again anytime. This was our favorite stay so far in 6 weeks in Sri Lanka. Location is absolutely stunning in nature with an incredible patio overlooking the lake. We saw so many animals while sitting out there. The house itself is brand new and perfectly clean and super comfortable. This is a great long term option. It is further from the center of Weligama, which I personally loved because you’re out of the noise and bustle of the city but still a quick tuk tuk or scooter ride into town. The staff onsite are extremely kind of welcoming and are available to help all the time. Would 100% recommend this property!!

Very nice place to lie comfortably on the beach and relax. The surf school next door is also highly recommended. Here you can combine relaxation and action. The place was clean, the breakfast (buffet) delicious and the team on site very kind and helpful. Highly recommend😊

Spacious, homey, well equipped in a well secured modern residence, which is not crowded at all. We rented a scooter and it's nice that there's a parking spot available. Would recommend 👍

This experience was one of the greatest of all. Dillip is such a nice person, he cares about your well-being, he is so attentive to whatever you are needing, he made me feel like I was with a life-time friend. We had a couple of cool adventures together, because he showed me places to visit nearby. He taught me how to prepare local dishes and all of his cooking is just breathtaking. As a solo female traveler I felt safe all my stay! His family is so nice, his father brought me fruits almost daily and we had great conversations even though the language barrier. I want to come back to this magical place, totally recommend it! You will get the chance to meet an amazing human being and hopefully get a friendship on the way!
