We live on 6.5 acres and are a great base to explore all that Bendigo has to offer; the Art Gallery, Capital and Ulumbarra theatres, Central Deborah Mine, the popular Markets, Music/Food/Wine/Beer festivals and the many great cafes and fine dining options including award winning "Masons" and "The Woodhouse" We live opposite the Bendigo Regional Park which boasts many mountain bike tracks and are also in close proximity to some local wineries.

Popular annual festivals such as the Newstead Short Story Tattoo (a literary celebration), Newstead Live (rooted in folk), All British Motorcycle Rally, close to the Maldon Folk festival. Think great coffee, gourmet pizzas, art & wildlife. We’re interested in the world around us & we’re welcoming & unpretentious.

It is within walking distance to the town centre, The Mill Complex, The Bridge Hotel and the Botanic Gardens; and just a 7 min walk up the hill from the railway station. Enjoy fabulous views to the east from the lounge, bedroom and your private balcony across the town to Mt Alexander.

Herrmann's Cottage Maldon - 1860s miner's cottage

Herrmann's Cottage is a classic Australian miner's cottage (circa 1860) set on over ½ acre of gardens. It is fully self-contained and completely private. The cottage has been carefully redecorated throughout—retaining all the character but with the modern comforts. History - Herrmann Blum acquired this ½ acre allotment in the Parish of Maldon by Crown Grant in 1859. He established "a three-roomed weatherboard house with iron roof, two stables and outhouses".
