Studio Apartment / Optional Car Rental

You will -need- a car here, I highly recommend renting the optional car offered in the listing. We were able to arrange getting picked up and dropped off at the airport. Be prepared for driving on the left and for mountainous driving. The place itself was small but nice. It had a two burner hotplate, 4 cup coffee maker, toaster, and a midsized fridge (in between dorm fridge sized and full sized). The kitchen sink has it's own small hot water heater. The shower takes a minute to warm up and does not have a huge hot water supply. I had no problem, but my girlfriend with longer hair had to adjust to it a bit. Although listed, there were no beach towels, however there was a nice selection of regular fluffy towels. The snorkeling equipment listed ended up being one pair of flippers without a mask or snorkel. I'm guessing both the beach towels and snorkle/mask may have gone home with the previous visitor. Little to no cell signal, but decent wifi with occasional drops in speed.

Great spot. There were 4 of us staying here while we were on island for work and there was more than enough room. Cold AC in the bedrooms and a great view from the hill that got constant cool breezes. Will definitely return.

A hidden gem that will take your breath away!

An excellent stay with Malkia! She was very thorough and responsive and made our stay very pleasant. The house was super clean and spacious, well-stocked, and the check-in and check-out processes were simple. The view from the balcony was stunning! The bed arrangement has a king in the master bedroom, a queen and twin in the other, and the couch in the living room is a full size bed. The house is in Fortuna which is about a 20 min drive from the airport if you're not used to driving in VI, and 40 min drive to the ferry terminal on the other end. It's 15mins to the nearest restaurant and grocery store. We appreciated that the neighborhood was quiet and a little more remote. Malika sent us the coordinate of the house instead of an address and even a youtube video for driving instructions that made it easy to find! One con is that the road leading up to the house is quite rough, steep, and unmaintained -- we did it without four-wheel drive, but i'd recommend having it.

This place was a dream. the private beach was amazing. the amenities were awesome. the drive up was bumpy but we knew we'd need a 4x4 so it was just fine. the view was breathtaking.

It was a good stay. Host made sure I had everything I needed and the place was very clean and peaceful.. Cold ac at night. Warm water is a luxury on the island also. Make sure you get a 4wheel drive car to make it easier on your self traveling the roads and island hills
