Pet-friendly holiday rentals in West Hartford

This is our second visit in the Recycle House. It’s such a lovely oasis. We love all the unique touches and creative uses of materials throughout the house. The location just steps from the charming town of Chester could not be better. The perfect CT weekend getaway!

This was the perfect home base for our week exploring Connecticut and Massachusetts. It was a quiet location, comfortable and clean space. Close to everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Mr. Andrew was great! Made sure we didn't go without. On my next trip I would LOVE to come back. I felt right at home.

me and kids was there for a mini getaway and everyone had their on bed which was dope a.f..my 10 yo nephew played on trampoline..for extended stay she has washer and dryer (we spent one night didn't use it) only complaint I have is when I took a shower it was a leaning curve with the water temp I couldn't figure the thing out my kid had to help me figure it out besides that place is great imo

Had a wonderful time at Granite ledge. Absolutely beautiful backyard. Very peaceful and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This was a great place. We were in town for a couple of days with our dogs (all the way from Alabama) and the neighborhood was perfect for dog walking and getting some rest. The place was pristine and and the host was excellent. We somehow got ourselves locked out one day and he got over within 10 minutes to help us get in. Will definitely stay here again!

Betsy's cabin was fantastic. It is even more charming in real life than in the photos. The directions getting there were perfect, the cabin was super clean, and Betsy had left snacks and water for us and for our dogs. We were in town for a family event, but did take some time to explore. We ate at the Oxford House, which had a patio that allowed our dogs to go with us. We had great hikes at Southford Falls State Park and Kettletown State Park (if you're from out of state, you have to pay a fee to enter Kettlewood). It was a quick trip; Betsy's cabin was a great spot for us to make home for 2 nights.

Perfect place for our family for Wesleyan University commencement. Literally 10 minutes door to door. Spacious, clean, comfortable and the layout was excellent for us! My husband and I had the upstairs and our son had one of the downstairs bedrooms. Lea was very helpful with her instructions, etc. Lovely house in a lovely location.

The pool house was cozy and clean and the bed was comfy. John gave us restaurant suggestions and when the TV acted up, they were immediately out there to fix it. It was a quick trip but it would be nice to stay longer to appreciate this hidden gem!

I absolutely enjoyed my weekend here. The home is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was provided In the home. Everything was clean, and neat. House is filled with light. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The host were amazing and had great communication, assisted us when needed right away. I would highly recommend staying here, and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The yard is fenced in. Which made it easy to let the dog out, and great for the dog to explore. A++++ Will probably be back sometime In the future.

The pool house is so cute and the outdoor patio is gorgeous and the perfect place to relax. Great place to stay if you want to stay near New Haven but also want to enjoy quiet away from the city. Sue is a responsive and very generous host!

Melissa and Geoff's place is in beautiful surroundings and well within a short drive to excellent restaurants, museums and outdoor activities. We were there during an especially rainy and cool period, but the apartment kept us toasty and warm after a day of dodging the raindrops. The king size bed was lovely and a white machine lulled us to sleep. The deck attached to the house was wonderful and when the weather looked as if the blue skies were here to stay, Melissa asked if we wanted dry cushions for the chairs- just a lovely thought. The gardens were just beginning to bloom and the property is spotless. We will definitely return to Sweet Dreams; the apartment was a pleasure to be in. Andrea and Ray

We had an amazing stay! David was quick to respond with any questions I had and even came out to hook up the propane tank for the heated pool. I saw in previous reviews about the tricky driveway but David’s description of it is perfectly accurate and not any trouble, just a little steep but nothing super tricky to deal with! The house has a beautiful setup and view, very clean and so much space. Even though it was cold and rainy we had the most fun and peaceful stay at this home. The bride of the bachelorette group said she wants to book with David on her own just for another stay/get-a-way! Highly recommend this beautiful space!

It's not a private space with a door that locks behind you, but it felt pretty private up on the top floor of that huge old house. The main room is enormous, with plenty of open space if you wanted to do yoga or whatever. The bedrooms are also a good size, and there was lots of space for my dog. It took a moment to get use to not having a sink in the "kitchen" area, but the bathroom sink is kitchen sink sized, and had everything you'd need to clean up breakfast dishes. All in all it was a good value for a place that was virtually private and had 2 bedrooms, AND allowed me to bring my dog.

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

No showers amenities. Same day reservation took 3-4 hours to receive check-in instructions. Incorrect door code to access the space (host had to provide 3-4 different lock combos because her housekeeper changed it and didn’t communicate it). Not enough towels. Not enough toilet paper. You can heat everyone walking and talking in the hallways. I was approved a late check out of 12noon. Host did not communicate to the house keeper and I was woken up by several knocks at 10:30am.

We love the Collinsville area and are very familiar with it as well. We love the walking trails, restaurants and especially the location which is close to our family. The parking and entry to the home was extremely convenient. The nice little touch was the basket of snacks that Tammy left.

This stay was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of the property. The space is immaculately maintained, stylish, and comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The loft was a standout room—such a cool and unique design that added to the whole experience. Waking up to those stunning views each morning was a dream, and the peaceful, secluded atmosphere made it the perfect escape. The host was communicative, kind, and made everything seamless from start to finish. I can’t recommend this place enough. It exceeded all expectations and made for an unforgettable weekend. Will absolutely be returning to see the other units!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The shower alone is definitely worth staying it was fantastic!! It was quiet and peaceful, making it easy to relax and unwind. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive from start to finish, and they went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

This was the PERFECT getaway pit stop for me and my family from a long day of driving. The host were fast, responsive, and helpful. If I am ever in the area again this will be my go to place.

This cosy cottage offers a delightful blend of rustic charm and contemporary amenities. The queen-sized bed ensured restful nights, complemented by thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. We enjoyed a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious living area, and scenic views all around. The cottage was easy to find. Spacious and tranquil. All in all, we spent a delightful weekend up north, will surely visit again.

Leah’s place was perfect for our little family… we needed a place to stay with our 3 dogs while we refinished the flooring at our house. We love Glastonbury and were excited to stay for a few days. The house was close to the highway to get to work but still had a country feel. The dead end street made it feel safe to walk our dogs. The house was clean and had everything we needed to be comfy while away from home. There were a few things marked to be renovated while we were there however, it didn’t affect our stay. Leah was so responsive and sweet to our family. I would definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay at Andrew and Jessica‘s place! Jessica was super responsive to any questions or requests and quickly resolved any minor issues. The room was the perfect size for my wife and I. Bed was comfortable and the entire studio was clean. Short drive to the wedding we attended at St. Clement’s Castle in Portland. Awesome coffee shop, ECO Coffee, is within walking distance, so is the Rails to Trails walking trails. Perfect alternative to a hotel!
