Farmhouse Guest Retreat w/huge jetted tub for 2

This suite is part of the new guesthouse portion of our home. Our charming home was originally built in 1936 (by a wonderful couple I was blessed to know) but has since undergone many additions and remodels. We are in love with it and the gorgeous mountains surrounding us. With hiking/mountain biking trailheads < 1 mile away, reservoirs, rivers, and ski resorts close by, there's plenty to get out and do, or just enjoy our farmhouse retreat and over an acre of grass, fruit trees, and gardens.

This historic brick store was built back in the 1930s, nestled on 26th Street (near historic 25th Street). It has a history of being a boutique, a hardware store, and a beloved toy shop but has now been renovated into a modern, yet original living space. The original brick and beams have been preserved in order to keep its historic charm but it has also been updated enough to provide a modern and cozy stay. Big, frosted windows provide photo studio lighting -- making for the perfect photoshoot!

Hidden from any streets & very quiet, less than 2 miles from Historic 25th street (restaurants/bars) & 30 minutes from past Olympic ski resort Snowbasin. 10 min walk to trailheads on the Bonneville shoreline trail for mountain biking/hiking/trail running. 25 min to Pineview reservoir paddleboarding/fishing/boating. We are just up the road from Historic Downtown Ogden, only 5 min from iFly Utah, 5 min from Weber State University, 15 min from Hill Air Force Base and the Northrop facilities. Close to many hiking and biking trails, as well as lakes and reservoirs. If you love skiing as much as we do you can get to 12 ski resorts in under 1.5 hours with the closest being only 30 min away. You’ll have a private entrance to the downstairs. We occupy the upstairs.

I stayed here during the annual Festival of Colors in Ogden. This is a remarkable spot all around; especially if you’re into historic buildings and history. Top recommendations, here. One thing that I will say is that the neighborhood is very diverse. You have some of the most beautiful homes and buildings from Queen Anne, Victorian Eclectic, Craftsman, in the trolley district, only a couple of blocks away and you can walk right down to the heart of 25th St. Adversely there is a serious drug epidemic in the same neighborhood. Also, just a tip, if you’re shopping at one of the quick marts, make sure to double check your pricing before you pay.
