Holiday houses in West Tisbury

My family and I have been coming to the vineyard for over 30 years and I must say, Beth and Billy's home is probably our favorite. From the moment you step inside, you know you've arrived somewhere special. Whether it be the incredible craftsmanship, the interior design details, the personal touches, the artwork and pottery from their kids throughout, and the emphasis on sustainability, no detail has been spared. I love to cook so using their open farmhouse kitchen working with produce and products from local markets and farms was so enjoyable and seamless with every appliance you could possibly need. I also loved the plates and bowls and mugs from local makers. The house also has access to the bike path which my dad and I used daily and lo ed. Beth was incredibly responsive when I had questions about the grill and communicated with us immediately when it was made known that we had left something behind after checkout. It was a wonderful stay and we will mostly certainly be back

We spent a week at this gem of a house with our friends and their kids (a total of 8 of us) This is my kind of beach house: big enough but still cozy, lots of fun decorations and tasteful art and furniture, ample places to sit, eat, play, and relax both in- and outdoors, enough bathrooms, multiple sleeping “zones” so our two families could co-exist nicely, and it has a lived-in welcoming feeling throughout. The kitchen may be a tad small but it actually has the things you need to cook, plus a beautiful dining area with a solid oak table. And the location is incredible: it feels secluded, yet is a ~5 min walk to 7a and the rest of west tisbury, and a 5 min drive to grey barn for morning pastries. We enjoyed gazing up at the stars and Milky Way most nights after the kids went to sleep. Access to Quansoo is the icing on the cake, if you haven’t been and you like the beach you are in for a treat..

Such a cute, cozy cottage and so peaceful. The perfect spot for a quiet getaway and a close drive to anywhere on the island. Everything you could want in the kitchen for making your own meals (we did twice) and breakfasts and lunches. Roberta was an attentive and welcoming host.

This is a gem of a place. Surrounded by a lovely garden and trees, the place is peaceful and furnished with excellent taste. The master bedroom is ample and full of light (the fact that it looks out onto the garden is a treat). There are idyllic trails nearby and all you really need is nearby. Last but not least, Zada is an excellent host. We'd love to return!

Joe’s place was wonderful private and very well appointed. Highly recommended for a getaway in a lovely neighborhood. You can also put on a light backpack and hike down to the beach, which is a short hike. Please tell them that Greg sent you.

Great place to stay for a few days and Kate and her husband are extremely friendly! Gave a 4 for location because it was deeper into the woods (West Tisbury generally is) which we did not know beforehand since it was our first time visiting MV. We didn’t have a car and just got around using Lyft/Uber which sometimes took 30+ minutes for us to get a driver (I would recommend calling one in advance, or calling a taxi instead as they seem more reliable). Also, since it was in more of a woodside area, expect some spiders (we are city dwellers that aren’t very used to that). Having access to Lambert’s Cove Beach was amazing and Kate provided a beach bag and beach towels as well! She was very responsive via chat and a great host!

Rachel’s house was great, and had everything anyone would need… Beds were comfortable, water pressure in showers was perfect. Most importantly, Rachel was so lovely to deal with… She was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!!!

Laura's home was perfect for our family of 4! We loved the location, especially the the ability to access a pass to Lambert's Cove Beach, which is one of our favorite beaches on the island. This home has everything you need - beach towels, beach chairs, cookware, toiletries in the showers, plenty of towels for showering, etc. We didn't feel like we were missing anything. Everything is very clean and this home is beautifully decorated and has a very nice, cozy feeling. We had a couple very minor issues arise during our stay, and Laura was very responsive and was able to resolve issues quickly. The backyard outdoor area is lovely, although it seems as if the landscaping hadn't been tended to in awhile and there is a tennis/basketball court on the property that's not in good condition and it's a bit of an eyesore - but these are very minor compared to all the positives this house and host have to offer.
