The Farmhouse

Our ranch style home is decorated with farmhouse charm ,located on the edge of town. It is on Hwy 18, centrally located to several sites of interest in Fayette including Decorah, Luther College, Upper Iowa College, Clermont, Elgin. This is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath with two living rooms, full size kitchen and Dining room and a game room which includes pinball machine, ski ball, and a pac-man multi game machine. This is a NO animals allowed property. Contractor reservations need prior approval w/host

Tranquility & Vistas on the Farm in the Guest Barn

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

Peaceful Lakeview Cabin

A beautiful country cabin with stairs to the lower level for water access, fishing, and free use of rowboat, kayaks, and canoe. Sleeps up to 8 with a master bedroom, large loft, and plenty of space for sleeping bags. Features hardwood floors, tile shower, jetted tub, stocked kitchen with newer appliances, washer/dryer, outdoor fire pit, LP grill, and picnic tables for a perfect country getaway to unplug and relax. There is a $200 fee for any get-together. All parties must be pre approved.

Small town home away from home

Snuggle up in this cozy little home away from home. Adventure out on a short walk to our downtown area, or stay in & kick your feet up. Enjoy a scenic drive from this central location to visit popular surrounding towns such as Decorah (home to Luther College) or Fayette (home to Upper Iowa University). This home consists of a living room, dining room, full kitchen, bathroom with tub/shower, laundry room and bedroom on the main level with a bedroom & sitting area upstairs. NO SMOKING PLEASE

Enjoy your stay at the "Owl's Nest" Updated Barn

Make some fun memories happen at this unique and family-friendly place. Historic family barn turned into a unique get-away. Right on the edge of town down Hall St. See the sights of NE Iowa Breweries-Pivos,Toppling Goliath minutes drive. Hike, kayak, fish the Upper Iowa River. The living access is on the second floor up the steps or use the ramp which is Handicap accessible. Have an Outdoor Wedding, rent a tent. plenty of lawn space. Have a reunion, grooms dinner, etc. Bring your dog!

The EJ House 4 Bedroom 1 1/2 Bath

The EJ house was built in 1905 with the original woodwork, stain glass windows and front door. The house is a little over 1600 sqft of living space. The house has 4 bedrooms with three queen beds and one full size bed. Guests will find it to be surprisingly spacious and a comfortable place to work, play or relax. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the house. The house has central air for those warm summer days or enjoy the large back deck. The woodwork is original to the house.

The Kimball House

Beautiful Victorian home in the heart of Fayette only one block from downtown & Upper Iowa University. Features an updated kitchen w/ stainless steel appliances and family room w/gas fireplace. Formal living room & dining room have original hardwood floors; upstairs has engineered hardwoods. Updated bathroom has double vanity and shower. Downstairs 1/2 bath and laundry room has sink and shower. This charming home has everything you need to make your visit to NE Iowa fantastic!

The Cozy Corner Duplex

The Cozy Corner Duplex is equipped with all the amenities needed for modern living. The full kitchen comes with basic cooking utensils, Having a tea kettle and coffee maker readily available means you can enjoy your preferred beverages any time of day. For entertainment, a smart TV with access to Netflix and Hulu allows you to relax and enjoy your favorite shows and movies. The keypad entry provides the freedom to come and go as you please, enhancing your sense of independence.

Cushions Cabins West

Very private, secluded and relaxing spot within 30 yards of walking or biking trail. Enjoy wildlife, plenty of deer and eagles to watch off the large open front porch. Fire pits for each cabin with firewood provided. Grill provided in front yard. Two private bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Kitchen included microwave, 2-burner stove and full size refrigerator. Coffee make and toaster also provided. River for canoeing and kayaking within walking distance.

The "Shouse" is built next to our main home on 36 acres of quiet country rolling hills near Ossian, Iowa. We are about 20 minutes from Decorah, Iowa. If you are willing to take the road less traveled you will find a fun, rustic, industrial piece of paradise tucked away in the rolling hills of the driftless area!

Welcome to The Store! This place originated as a grocery store in our little town of Ossian, IA. We have given this building a fresh new facelift and turned it into a vacation home. Don't be turned away from the outside as we continue to update but embrace the charm we have built on the inside.
