Great place for the family to stay. Lots of space and sleeping arrangements. Highly recommend

We only had time to stay overnight but it was still a great place to relax and put our feet up before a very active day. We thought the house was particularly clean and it has been nicely looked after and modernised. Comms were speedy and straightforward. Next time we'll stay longer!

Exactly what we were looking for. Heaps of space, beautiful location, quiet except for the roaring ocean maybe 50 m away from the tiny home. Large fenced paddock was great for our dog. Fun little tiny home with everything we needed, extremely efficient use of space and very clean and tidy. Beautiful views through full length windows which was fine because there was noone for miles. 4 minute drive to Granity, 20 minute drive to Westport. A lovely private home base to explore the west coast from. Lovely host was easy to reach and very helpful. Highly recommend and will return!

We had a lovely stay, and really appreciated the availability at short notice. As a multi generational family group, it suited us perfectly. A hand rail in toilet for elderly parent and step stool available for child. Beds for all, plenty of comfortable sitting space in lounge/dining. Lovely hot shower. Loads of off street parking which we required. Moni was very easy to contact before and during our stay. Great wifi. We would happily book again if we are passing through.

Great place for our family to stay. Walking distance to the heart of Reefton. Outside area was fabulous. Clean and comfortable house.

Highly recommend this place to stay whilst you explore the beautiful Punakaiki zone, excellent town amenities only a few minutes drive and gorgeous bush walks all on your doorstep, sunsets and views magnificent! The house is beautifully appointed in every way and has everything there for the perfect stay.

The place is good, the location is perfect, James was friendly so overall I recommend to choose this or other lodges of the place. The photos are not updated, the top floor has good beds not only mattrasses, so its better then you expect. On other side the kitchen is a bit older than looks like and pots, oven trays were very dirty, we couldn't even wash well, so maybe if you stay one night do not prepare for cooking here. Otherwise O recommend it, beds are comfy, blankets are warm, we all had a good sleep in this lodge.

great location in the middle of the forest. from our accommodation you had a sea view. charmingly furnished and you have everything you need and it was clean. Really Close to the Pancake Rocks. And the possibility to take a 5 minutes Beach Walk.

James was a great host, very helpful and even gave us an upgrade. The setting was great and next to an incredible beach. Bostin!

Had a fabulous 4 night stay in our tiny house in Birchfield. Beautiful spot with spectacular views. The accommodation had everything we needed and Chris our host was super friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful part of the world and a stay in this lovely accommodation.

Great location for us. So handy we were allowed to bring our pet. Unit was lovely and clean with nice comfy beds. We will definitely be back.

Mokihinui is a very special place. Private, peaceful, with some of NZ’s most stunning scenery on your doorstep and an easy explore away. The bach is everything you need and the campground, approx 1km down the road provides great coffee. The Beach Cabin at Mokihinui was everything we were looking for. Absolutely stunning, comfortable home in gorgeous surroundings. The outdoor bath was a winner and Lisa was so helful and fast to reply. I stayed at Lisa's with four friends over Christmas and everyone absolutely loved it. Highly reccommend, andvwould love to stay again.

Wow... That was our main word for this stay. The location and view was incredible. It instantly felt like a real relaxing getaway. We noticed some issues around cleanliness that I will share directly with the host so that they are aware, as this place deserves the best! The hot tub was an absolute highlight. Such a friendly and responsive host to chat to online. We had a fabulous time here and we definitely hope to return to this oasis on the hill!

We were looking for somewhere isolated, unique and memorable and this place delivered in droves. We wanted an escape and we found an oasis. The views to the mountains changes hour by hour as you sit atop the the highest point for miles around. The property had everything we needed and then some - but it was the outdoors spa that won us over. To sit outside in the warmth of the spa under a blanket of stars was truly remarkable - even better to have that solely to ourselves made it even more special. If you have Mariua Mountain Retreat on your wish list, book it now. If you don't, add it now - you won't regret it. NB: for the faint of heart who might feel daunted by the road up to the house - just follow David's instructions and you'll be fine. We drove a little Toyota Corolla and it made it up with no issues. It's a little bumpy in places, but take your time and you'll be up in no time.

Lovely cheap, cheerful and cozy little pop top. Good kitchen set up. Spa next to pop top which is shared with other guests. Great hosts!

We had the best stay! The house was just as described. The breakfast menu is robust and the food was so delicious. We got to enjoy the stary nights skies relaxing in the spa after days out exploring the area nearby. Easily one of the top 5 places we have stayed across the country! highly recommend to others.
