Restful peaceful and quiet my house is set in the forest yet close to town. I have another room listed separately "Comfy single room with kauri tree view." Wake to the sound of native birds calling and see pigeons - kereru - tui and fantails as they dip and glide over the house. Kiwi call at night and sometimes come to your window. Please note that the house is about a 40 minute walk from the bus stop. I might be able to pick you up. Contact me. Come take your load off and refresh.
“To say that Julie’s place is the best Airbnb in New Zealand is an understatement! It’s probably the best in the world. She was incredibly kind and welcoming, and even made us freshly baked bread for breakfast! Her home was clean, lovely, and in a great location. Really couldn’t have asked for more, she went above and beyond what I expected. Thanks for everything Julie!”

“Magical surprise was the theme for my husbands birthday. That is exactly what he got .. The Tree House experience had us buzzing - words won’t describe how we felt but here goes : Magical Enchanted Insane Awesome Harry Potter Narnia Hobbit-town Jack n the beanstalk Rapunzel Seven Dwarfs We brought snacks to have with our wine in the afternoon and we brought our dinner to enjoy in the evening. We had everything we need to continue the magic. Then in the morning cooked up the lovely ingredients for a breakfast fit for a Hobbit King! The home cooked bread was so delicious and a special touch !! Amazing stay!”
The Annex is an older building that was a sleepout. It has two bedrooms and a living/ dining area, with a wood fire, sink, fridge, hot plate and microwave. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated on a farmlet with harbour views, 7km south of the city centre , one hundred metres up an unsealed driveway off State Highway One. This is a busy main road, so there can be road noise. It is a working farmlet, our hens free range and our trees drop leaves and small branches.
“Just outside of whangarei with a view of the harbour...what more could you want? Lovely spot with fully functional amenities - I already miss the fireplace. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.”
