This quirky beach side A frame that has recently been renovated is well appointed. Wonderful outdoor furniture, double BBQ, great fire, dishwasher, washing machine, and only steps from the sea. Perfect for families in the summer or a romantic getaway for a couple in the winter. The view from your bed upstairs is just a gorgeous sea ! In the summer, throw all the kids together in the one room, and parents are upstairs in their own rooms. Sorry, not suitable for under 5 because of the stairs.

No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, We are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a sweet as ride to the coast. Two great pubs near by

This place is a spacious house on a large section 2 Kms inland at Castlepoint on the Wairarapa East Coast. Dogs are fine. To keep the costs down all you need to bring is linen/towels, give the place a clean afterwards and take your rubbish with you ready for the next guest. If you are after fully serviced accommodation then this probably isn't the place for you. If you read the reviews most people have been happy with this arrangement and we have many repeat guests.

Once you have finished relaxing you can go for a mountain bike ride and choose from 20 tracks. Cold? No problem, the fire will be set up ready to light upon arrival. We had the best time staying at the bach, it was everything that we had wanted and more. We loved walking early and going for a walk along the beach then getting home and lighting the fire. The kitchen is super well stocked, it had everything you need to cook. Lots of books, lots of dvds, lots of games. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you so much for providing such a lovely place for us to stay on our weekend away.

The place is great, nice and quiet for a weekend getaway. Access to the beach is good if you’re going for a walk or swim. In terms of fishing, it’s not the best location to surf cast and there is no public access to the beach for launching boats. Diving for Pāua and Crayfish is great if you’re there when it’s calm. Driving to Flat Point is quite rough on your vehicle going through the gravel roads so take extra care.

Kate and Callum’s place is just around the corner from the main shops, making it the perfect spot for strolling around the town. We visited Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre during our stay—an easy 10-minute drive south. Although we were there in the middle of winter, the fire and heat pump kept the house cosy and warm. And we couldn’t go past the cookies waiting for us on the table when we arrived! Thanks Kate and Callum for a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bilton - great views, warm and cosy place with great outside areas to enjoy the sun. A short walk down the hill to the beach - everything is very close by. Lots to do in CastlePoint, and this is a great place to explore it all from.
