Take it easy at this unique and cosy cottage with a real open fire and original beams. The cottage was constructed in approximately 1750 during the reign of George II. The cottage is constructed from wood and stone and there is not a straight wall, ceiling or door casing in the house! You learn very fast (after banging your head once or twice) to duck under the low door frames and beams. The cottage is small, quirky and very cosy but with a suprisingly large master bedroom and bathroom.

Lovely, spacious and clean. We are a family of 8 adults, 2 children and babies and had more than enough space and we loved that each room had its own character. The rooms were big enough, we had travel cots in 3 rooms. We appreciated the travel cot and high chair provided. Easy to check in and an easy stay as the host provided pretty much everything including ironing facilities, washing up liquid, dish washer tabs… even laundry tabs! Fully equipped and beautiful kitchen as well. Beds are very comfy too. Would definitely stay again it’s a lovely house.

We had a great stay at the old barn. Antony the host was spot on answering any questions we had beforehand and during our stay. Property was spotless and anything exceeded what we saw in the photos. Handy, friendly pub/restaurant and shops 5 minute walk away also. If we are in the area in the future we will 100% be back.

Had a very pleasant and comfortable stay with Joyce. Her place was very convenient, tidy and well placed for transport links to Liverpool city centre. Great value, and I would not hesitate to book again next time I am in Liverpool!
