Holiday rentals with a kayak in Winston County

Our family really enjoyed Lynn’s place. The house was very clean and there was more than enough room for the 6 of us. We caught fish right off the dock and also swam and kayaked. The dock was fun and relaxing, the deck was peaceful and comfy. We had people of all ages 16 to 66 and everyone had a blast. Thank you Lynn.

We literally stumbled upon Jacob’s place due to a last minute cancellation through AirBnB by our previous host! We had planned this trip since September 2024 and were devastated! Jacob’s place filled our void completely! It is such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and cove! The boathouse/dock alone was worth the booking. The kayaks were great and we had a jet ski dock that was super convenient. Jumping off of the top of the boathouse was our favorite pastime! The jacuzzi on the lower back deck was our second favorite pastime. It was so nice and relaxing. The house is older, but has so much charm. The bedrooms with bunks were awesome! (And I need to know what type of mattress is on the larger bed in the upstairs bunk room because that was the best sleep I’ve had in weeks!) The open area in the living room, kitchen, dining area is ideal for entertaining. The fact that every room and the outside jacuzzi area has televisions is superb! We have already considered rebooking!

Where do I start! This is one of my favorite Airbnb’s! Check in was quick and easy. The property is beautiful! The house is decorated so cute and the hosts have thought of every little thing you would need. The mattresses and bedding are so comfortable. We brought our boat, but actually enjoyed hanging out at the dock and using the kayak provided more! We stayed as a family of 4, but there’s definitely room for a couple families with a ton of sleeping options. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here. We’ll be back!

Our family spent Thanksgiving week here and it was perfect! The home and surroundings are absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the lake! The home was exactly as described, it was spacious and inviting and perfect for a large family. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to prepare thanksgiving dinner along with many other meals. We had an amazing time creating lasting memories. Jay and April were incredible hosts who were always quick to respond. Spending Thanksgiving at their beautiful home was truly amazing! The serene environment and cozy accommodations made it such a memorable experience!

Our family enjoyed our vacation at The Poppy. The children loved swimming off the dock, & the surroundings were peaceful. The kitchens were well furnished & clean. The beds were very comfortable.

Our family vacation was loved by everyone. We originally wanted to go to the beach but decided on a lake house and we all agreed this was way more enjoyable. We absolutely would want to go back again!

Katie was an amazing host! My family and I felt right at home at her place on Smith Lake. And it is even more beautiful than the pictures! Katie was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She always responded promptly and answered any questions we had. Her home is well stocked with all the amenities needed for a peaceful and relaxing weekend at the lake. Katie goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The home is clean and nicely decorated, and the dock was the perfect place to spend days enjoying Smith Lake. I can't say enough great things about Katie and her home. I would give it more than 5 stars if that was an option.

This was our second stay at this beautiful home and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! Hosts Jackie and David are so responsive and helpful and overall made the trip so easy. The house itself is beautiful and spotlessly clean with gorgeous views in every direction. It had plenty of space and privacy for our family of 8 adults. There were plenty of places for everyone to eat and we sat around the tables and played games several nights. It’s located on a quiet area of the lake and we all enjoyed hanging out on the awesome boat dock when we weren’t on the boat or jet skis. Loved that the dock has some covered seating! Overall a perfect spot for our family to get together! We’ll definitely be back!

The place is exactly as described and pictured. We had 3 couples and had plenty of space and seating. We brought food and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware we needed. We had a boat and utilized the dock without issue. The place was very clean. The host was quick to respond to all questions. Wonderful stay! Would book again!

I highly recommend staying at this lake house. If you are looking for a place to relax and have all the things you need to have a wonderful time then this is the place for you. Will’s hospitality and communication was the best I’ve ever experienced with an AIRBNB stay. The pictures of the home look amazing online but when you get to the lake house it is even more beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage on Smith Lake. The location was off the beaten path, and we loved the area. It was very peaceful with beautiful plants and wildlife to see on our walks around the cottage. The cottage was very clean, organized, and well-thought out. The things I especially loved were the desk facing the window, the metal side tables with glass lamps, the roll-out shelves in the kitchen, the gas stove, all of the supplies in the kitchen, the drying rack in the laundry room, the big windows facing the lake, and the screened front porch. Kristina was very responsive and helpful at all times! She was always friendly and professional. I couldn't ask for more from a host! Thank you so much! This was definitely one of my favorite airbnbs, and we will definitely be back!

We are very familiar with Smith Lake, so we knew this was a gem. Largely flat with a gentle slope to the water, it was perfect for young kiddos, including elderly. Conveniently located to local shops that had whatever we might need. Older home, but very comfortable and clean! Enjoyed the back deck and covered breeze-way along with the beautiful massive trees, we had plenty of shade to be able to have fun outside on even the hottest of July days. Strongly considering booking again. Loved every minute of our stay.

We had the best week at this lake house! It was beautiful and private. It was well stocked also! We loved how there wasn’t a huge hill with stairs to get to dock. We spent a lot of time swimming and having the lily pad and kayaks was an awesome addition! The house is spacious and the outdoor area is great. The host was very nice and willing to help with whatever was needed. We will definitely be visiting again!

We had a wonderful weekend at the lake house! We loved the outdoor living area and spent most of our time relaxing with the beautiful view of the lake. The host provides plenty of amenities with everything you need to enjoy a weekend at the lake!

If you are looking for an older lake home you can sit back and enjoy, this is your place. The dock with kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, high jump off dock could not have been better. My family had a great time. The only downside is it has MANY steps down to the dock. BUT, the house up on the cliff makes for the million dollar veiw.

so cute! very clean and cozy. Had a good kitchen with full stove and microwave and full size refrigerator. Everything was so clean, near and tidy. front porch was great to sit and look at the water. nice repurposed pontoon deck to sit on right on the water. only thing somewhat less peaceful is the road right next to the property where people fly coming and going but you can't hear the road noise once in the cabin. still give it 10 stars for accessibility and comfort.

This was the perfect location for our group! We loved relaxing in the lake and the cabin was so cute and cozy! Nikki our host was very helpful and responsive with any questions we had. Really enjoyed this weekend get away and hopefully will return in the future!

The pictures are absolutely true to life! The house and view were a restful haven for our family. We spent lots of time at the lake and on the dock. The dock is in an alcove of sorts, so it was perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming without fear of boats passing too close by. Bring dish towels with you (that’s the only thing I forgot that wasn’t provided). Great host and we will be back!

This cabin in the woods was a true escape into nature! An absolute gem! It is located along a creek the we kayaked along (kayaks provided!) Anything you could possibly need is provided! we took advantage of the wine gifted and "s'mores station"! You have full access to an outdoor living area complete w multiple board game options! It is a short drive from a grocery store and a few restaurants options. It is located w/in short driving distances to the beautiful water falls and hiking trails the area has to offer. 10 for 10!!!!! Will be bringing my family back soon!
