Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Winterthur District

Slim pickings in this area so we were happy to find Mai and Thomas's place near Frauenfeld so we could be near to family we were visiting. All worked quite well and they were helpful in accommodating us six and a baby, including providing a crib. There are two bedroom areas with a queen and a twin in each, so three sleep in each room. Kitchen is small but fairly well-stocked. Dining room is ample with a large table. Single bathroom with barrier-free shower so water gets nearly all over the bathroom when you shower. Bath was well-stocked with soap, shampoo, etc. All in all it was a very good stay. Thanks!

Tous est très propre, et y tous ce qu’il fallait pour notre séjour d’une semaine en petite famille . Merci pour votre chaleureux accueil, pour les œufs frais de votre poulailler. C’est magnifique petit mouton, ont adorer. On c’est promener dans le village et dans la forêt autour, très simpa. La nuits on a croiser des petits cerfs 🥰 sur la route. Merci Eva et Yves

Ein äusserst stilvolles und hübsches Haus mit herzigem Garten. Freundliche und schnelle Kommunikation. Einkaufsmöglichkeit in nächster Nähe. Äusserst empfehlenswert, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Only stayed for a night, but it was a nice place with comfortable beds & plenty of bathrooms.

Amos est un super hote, super gentil et convivial. La maison est superbe et très bien entretenue, fidèle en tous points aux images figurant sur l annonce. La piscine est parfaite et le jardin et ses aménagements sont très agréables et bien pensés. Je la recommande à 100%, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçu !

Le foto dell'immobile rispecchiano a pieno lo stato dello studio apartment. La disponibilità della stazione ferroviaria nelle vicinanze lo rende inoltre particolarmente comodo per raggiungere le zone più centrali di Zurigo. Consigliato assolutamente, a pieni voti. We spent 2 nights at Ursula's and I must say it is more than worth the money we spent. Its right outside Zurich but we used that stay to explore northern side of Switzerland (Rhine falls, suggested by Ursula) and wandered around Winterthur. The place itself is beautifully located in the forest area and provides ample opportunity to be in the nature. And on top, Ursula and her son were great hosts to us, super responsive and very kind and friendly. Highly recommended!

Wir haben die Tage in der schönen Dachwohnung mit den hohen Decken und den freiliegenden Balken sehr genossen. Das fehlende WLAN haben wir mit mobilen Daten/Hotspot problemlos überbrücken können.

Simple, gemütliche Unterkunft geeignet für kürzere Aufenthalte. Das Bad ist top und die Kochnische praktisch

What a gem! Newly renovated apartment in a lovely neighborhood. Walk to the next bus station (4’), walk to the main train station (10’) or walk to the next grocery store (6’) - in short everything is close by but the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The communication with the host was fast and easy. We highly recommend it.

This was one of the BEST apartments I have ever stayed in! It was so cozy and had everything needed for the perfect stay. It was truly the most well stocked apartment I’ve ever stayed in! The fact that it’s technically an attic makes it so charming, especially with the high wooden ceiling and view of surrounding cottages. Both the bed and couch were comfy, and we saved a lot of money cooking at home! We didn’t use the loft, but it’s yet another cute addition to the apartment. Gianna is an incredibly kind and friendly host, and she really made sure we felt welcomed. And before I even realized it, her husband had carried my 50lb luggage up the long winding stairs that led to the apartment! The only single downside is that the apartment is not in the city center so buses and trains have to be used, but the bus stop is across the street! It is well worth staying here, and I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone! ♥️

Ich habe mich in dieser Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Durch die freundliche Kommunikation mit Gastgeberin Agnes habe ich mich sehr willkommen gefühlt und auf Fragen hat sie sehr schnell reagiert. In dem Apartment ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und befindet sich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Der nächste Supermarkt ist fußläufig erreichbar und das Apartment ist ruhig gelegen, da es nicht an einer befahrbaren Straße liegt. Durch die Nähe zum Bahnhof Wallisellen bietet es außerdem einen guten Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Insgesamt kann ich einen Aufenthalt hier wärmstes empfehlen.

We traveled for six weeks through Europe and this place was the absolute best place we stayed in. Christine and Beat were a wonderful hosts. They are fun, helpful, friendly, you absolutely can’t ask for a better hosts. This place was peaceful with a river behind it. They have a Lovely beautiful cat. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the Swiss culture and we got that staying here we highly recommend them and this place. It’s about 30 to 45 minutes outside of Zürich right on a bus line and Ubers are plentiful and not that expensive so if you’re looking for a beautiful place in Switzerland, this is the place. We hope to return in the future. Thank you Christine and Beat! We appreciate you both so much.

Petit coin très charmant en dehors de grandes villes mais proche de tout. Accueillant, spacieux et très bien entretenu. on a adoré notre séjour.

The apartment was very spacious, well equipped, clean and very close to the airport. The bus stop to the airport was a five minute ride and the actual stop was only 800 feet from the apartment. The host was very responsive, accommodating and friendly. It was great to be able to do some laundry before we flew home. There were several grocery stores very close to the apartment along with bakeries. I would definitely recommend staying apartment.

Jana is een vriendelijke host. Zeer behulpzaam en outgoing. We voelde ons op ons gemak. Het appartement is zeer schoon en ruim. We mochten tegen een kleine vergoeding gebruik maken van de sauna. Zeker aan te raden.

Wir durften 3 sehr schöne Tage bei den lieben Gastgebern geniessen. Nach einem freundlichen Empfang und einem gründlichen Check-in waren wir bestens informiert über die Unterkunft und alle Möglichkeiten. Der Pool und der nahegelegene Rhein boten sich bestens für eine Abkühlung an. Neben dem bequemen Bett schätzten wir auch die weitere hochwertige Ausstattung sehr. Es stimmte von A-Z, herzlichen Dank

Malonda es increíble. Muy simpática y siempre pendiente por si necesitas algo. Nos ha ayudado muchisimo en todo. El apartamento era genial, todo como en las fotos y muy limpio. Recomiendo al 100% este alojamiento. Es el mejor de todos en los que he estado, sin duda.

Eine nette, sympathische Gastgeberin. Hat uns alle direkt persönlich begrüßt. Die Unterkunft (Haus) ist sehr gemütlich, mit allem ausgestattet. Wir fühlten uns direkt wohl und wären gerne länger geblieben. ( 4 Tage ) Gerne würden wir mal im Winter kommen und diesen schönen Kamin im Wohnzimmer nutzen. Wir sagen DANKE für ein schönes Wochenende.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Bubikon, Switzerland. The location is excellent — right across from the train station, making it incredibly easy to get around. Parking is also available, which was a big plus for us since we had a rental car. Zurich is only about a 30-minute drive away, making this a convenient base for exploring the area. The neighborhood has everything you need within walking distance — grocery stores, several restaurants, a pharmacy, and a cozy coffee shop. The home itself was spotless, spacious for an attic and very comfortable. We didn’t cook during our stay but I am sure a decent meal can be made in the kitchen. There was coffee, tea and beer already left for us by the hosts when we arrived. Monika was extremely responsive and helpful from the moment we booked until checkout. We felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. Highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in the area.

Wonderful apartment in a great location, would definitely recommend. Lake Zurich is 1 minute walk, scenery is fantastic.

A very spacious place, just a 10-minute train ride to the city center/Zurich Main Station and less than a 3-minute walk to supermarkets. Sergio was very responsive to any issues or questions—we got the missing shower gel resolved promptly the next day. Highly recommended!
