Cottage holiday rentals in Wrexham Principal Area

The cottage was just as described, peaceful and quiet with beautiful views. The cottage had everything we needed, it was well equipped. Definitely use the directions on the website for the sat nav, the postcode sends you to a completely different place!! The hot tub was fantastic, just what we needed after long days travelling and walking. If I had to list one criticism I would say the mattresses in the right hand bedroom weren’t overly comfortable. Overall the cottage was fantastic, we would definitely stay again if visiting North Wales

A wonderful place to stay. Easy to find, stunning views, relaxing and everything you could need. The N64 was great entertainment in the evening. Watching the birds in the morning is a great way to start the day, and a soak in the hot tub a great way to end it. Niamh, Dave and Osian are wonderful hosts, really helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning, thank you 😊

Very peaceful place, great location - big supermarket can be found within 15mins drive. Cottage is great with all you need. Responsive and kind host. Really enjoyed the short break in Wales.

What a lovely cottage, and a great host. We chose this cottage because of the quiet location and the hot tub to chill out in, and we were not disappointed. It’s close enough to Chester to access the shops and restaurants, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Lots of walks close by, a nice little village shop and local pub. What more could you ask for. The cottage itself is immaculately presented, very tastefully furnished and has a nice blend of traditional and modern. Looking forward to returning.

Me and my partner really enjoyed this stay. It was a last minute booking for ourselves and Richard and Ceri were extremely attentive with their responses before and during our stay. The home itself was beautiful and was situated on a little farm. It was extremely clean and beautifully furnished. Not to mention the hot tub behind the house which Richard and Ceri ensured was always at use for us! It was our first time visiting Ruthin and we enjoyed every moment. We would definitely recommend this stay to family friends or anyone wanting a relaxing couple of nights away.

We had a lovely stay at the Drift House! The house was absolutely beautiful, in a lovely area with lots of nice walks and pubs nearby. Nicola was so helpful and quick to respond, it was very much appreciated! Would definitely recommend and absolutely love to stay again if we were ever interested in coming back to the area. This is a beautiful location on a working farm. The house itself was excellent with lots of room for 6 adults and 2 children, the 4 en-suites are a real bonus. The children especially loved the hot tub. All in all a great place to stay.

Relaxing, peaceful with lovely surroundings, nice and private with helpful and friendly hosts. Couldn’t fault it at all. We loved it and so did our dog Buddy!!

Had a gorgeous stay in Rachel's cottage, only 10 min drive through the gorgeous Welsh countryside into Wrexham. Very comfortable and clean - would recommend!

We had a great few days staying in Delyth’s lodge. The lodge is sizeable and very comfortable, easily accommodating 2 families. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Delyth and Gareth are wonderful hosts. So welcoming and helpful. A highlight for my son was feeding one of the lambs.

The cottage was very clean and well-maintained. The host was extremely helpful and always willing to assist whenever needed, promptly responding to all our requests. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others!

We had a fantastic 3-night stay in Alys’s place as a group of 5 adults and 3 kids. The house was perfect for families—spacious, clean, and really well-equipped. There were loads of toys and games provided, which kept the kids happily entertained throughout the stay! Alys was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. We really appreciated the welcome biscuits and snacks—such a lovely touch after a long journey. The location was peaceful and ideal for a relaxing break, with plenty to explore nearby. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a cozy and comfortable base in Wales. We’d love to return again!

The cottage was very homely and just what we were looking for. Very peaceful and just the right size for the two of us and our dogs. We visit the area several times a year and will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Parlwr y Cook in May 2025. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. The building has been beautifully converted but still retains some lovely features of the original and is spacious and light. It has been finished with high quality fittings. Everything was spotlessly clean. The garden outside is lovely but is safe and enclosed which we liked as we had our small dog with us. Caroline had thoughtfully left us a few treats. There is lots of information provided about the local area and things to do. The location is beautiful and very quiet. We loved the early morning bird song and were excited that we saw a Red Kite overhead just outside! There are some lovely walks directly from the house down a pretty wooded path. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough thank you Caroline we loved it!!

Beautiful location and proprert, and really lovely hosts. Were all made to feel very welcome. (3 generations-myself, small children and grandparents). On the return journey, setting off again from a service station stop on M5, the 2year old asked if we were "driving back to Tony's farm now?" The response that we were not and we were going home was met with something close to heartbreak and fury 😂 I've told him we will try to visit again and definitely a longer stay next time

Had a great weekend …… location , facilities and hosts were all perfect. Nestled away a mile or so out of Ruthin, Owls Watch is a perfect location for a quiet getaway. With views across to Moel Famau, surrounded by rural farmland the location really is an ideal retreat from the day to day grind . Will be sure to return again

Really Enjoyed our stay in Ellesmere at this lovely property. A beautiful part of the world to visit and relax. The property was perfectly sized for the 2 of us and was exactly what we needed.

We had a great stay at The Stables over the Easter weekend. The cottage was very spacious, clean and lovely and warm. Beautiful enclosed garden that was ideal for our dog and for us to sit in and enjoy the views. Wendy was an excellent host and very responsive. We would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area.

Beautiful little cottage in a great location. Clean and tidy when we arrived and the chocolates on the bed were a lovely welcoming touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking to visit this area!

Lovely cosy cottage in beautiful Llangollen. Only a short stay visiting family but l enjoyed it. Very comfortable well equipped cottage. Nice real fire, good wifi and short walk to the river. Charming interior. Al good.

Super stay in a great cottage. Place was well equipped and bed was so comfy. Superb location near pretty village of Tattenhall with nice pubs. Good for kids as so close to ice cream farm. Loved our stay here.
