Everything was great. Loved the porch and the views. Lots of great extras such as coffee pods, spices, paper products, etc.

Jonathan is a great host! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — he even left some duck eggs in the fridge for us. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

The cabin was just as the photos show if not better. We are lovers of old buildings and the charm behind handhewn log, antique or farm life! This cabin was a great find for a quick father's day weekend getaway. Enjoyed the amenities but mostly the peacefulness of our busy lives. We loved our stay as it was the perfect cabin for what we were looking for, felt right at home. Our daughter enjoyed all the things to play with on our down time and she loves outdoors so she loved playing in the backyard along with enjoying the horse. The beds were comfortable, ac was great, Hot tub was relaxing and good grilled food. The only thing missing was a washer & dryer but definitely didnt effect the trip. We plan to stay again on our next quick getaway. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, we enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay, the porch was definitely our favorite part and it had a nice kitchen. As he mentions you at in the country so there are bees and bugs. We did kill two wasps inside in the bedroom both days but that was to be expected with the description.

everything was as they described it. there were universal setbacks that were out of their control. however they responded immediately and professionally in resolving everything with us. highly recommended.

The cabin was perfect for our extended weekend stay. It was super easy to find and very private. The cabin was well stocked and had plenty of room for the two of us and our dog. Katie had tons of great recommendations on things to see/do and there is plenty of space around the property to get out and stretch your legs or run the dogs. 10/10 would stay again in a heartbeat.

Was definitely IN the woods and IN the mountains. ❤️ We loved it. Definitely need 4x4. But you will have everything you need.

Really beautiful secluded spot right on the river. The cabin was perfect for camping, and the generator was a nice touch, although we only needed it a couple times. Privacy was great. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the most relaxing, peaceful and carefree weekend we have ever had. My husband and our 2 kids and 2 dogs had the most fun, and we didn’t even feel the need to be on our phones or watch tv! The cabin felt like home; so much so, that we didn’t want to leave. My husband and I are already planning a trip back. Carey was an amazing hostess and we are so appreciative that she opened her home to us. The views were breathtaking. We literally sat outside all weekend. We only went inside to cook and sleep. Oh! And we got to enjoy a meteor shower Saturday night! Super awesome!! And, even cooler, there’s a dollar general market at the end of the main road! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen! So you don’t need to bring a bunch of food! We drove 5 hours to come stay here, and honestly, I would drive 10 just to come back. This cabin was every bit of home and we can’t wait to come back!

This cozy Danbury cabin was just what we needed for our family trip to NC to celebrate a wedding. Things were well organized, beautiful, and the hosts have thought of just about everything. My son loved the record player, and we really enjoyed the outside seating for relaxing nights chasing fireflies. The town itself doesn’t have much, so we took this as a perfect opportunity to sit back and relax. The Rocking A Frame gave us the perfect reprieve from our busy lives back home. Sitting within the peaceful hills right outside of Pilot Mountain, this cabin immediately stole my heart. The home was charming, clean, and very easy to settle into. The hosts were accommodating and friendly, which made the experience that much more pleasant. A Squirrels Paradise really made me feel at home, I never wanted to leave!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The rental is very nice and the fenced in backyard with a fire pit was definitely a bonus. Everything was super clean and Eric was very kind and helpful. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay. Jennifer and David are amazing hosts and have thought of everything. It’s such a wonderful cabin to relax in after long hikes. Hope to return again!

I felt right at home in the Elkin Winery cabin. I was grateful they offered a pet friendly cabin, so I could bring my dog. The cabin was rustic on the outside, but had everything you might need on the inside. There are 4 cabins, but plenty of space between them, to have privacy. It is an amazing area for my senior dog to stroll. The cabins are less than a couple of miles from restaurants, but feel like you are out in the wilderness. Carrie was quickly responsive and friendly from start to finish. I misread the pet friendly rules, and booked the wrong cabin. Carrie quickly fixed it for me. I was able to meet Jennifer when I checked in, and she was just as helpful and friendly. I will definitely return to these cabins when I need to unwind!

Had a great stay at “papa Johns” cabin. Perfect getaway with the hubby for his birthday. The cabin was well equipped with essential supplies and very clean. I’m a housekeeper myself so I’m very particular! The hot tub was perfect, very relaxing. And we highly recommend “Southern on Main” restaurant, it was fantastic!

We had a wonderful time at this little cabin in the woods. It's on a beautiful piece of property and even though there were a few other buildings around, it felt very private. You could hear the stream in the background which was just lovely. The cabin itself was extremely clean and very welcoming. The decor was nice without being too cluttered feeling. Just the perfect amount of stuff. I don't think more than 2 people could stay here comfortably as it's basically just one big room, but for us, it was absolutely perfect! The back deck overlooked the stream and had a hot tub. We didn't use the hot tub and it was a bit loud which drowned out the sound of the stream. Teresa said that in the future, we can ask that it be turned off if we're not going to use it, so that's a great option for next time. Overall, a great place to spend a lovely, restful weekend in Elkin. We definitely plan to come back!

This was the perfect place for our family to unplug and unwind. You can tell a lot of thought and details went into the home itself and it was a great location for us.
