The river has a sandy bottom. In winter, there is a long sledding hill and a cross-country ski trail next to the cottage. Villa Väylän Helmi is located in the municipality of Ylitornio, in Marjosaari, Kaulinranta village. The island is a peaceful rural setting, with mostly holiday homes. Located along the Tornionjoki River, the cottage is the choice of fishermen and holidaymakers who love the river landscape. Marjosaari is a great place to watch and photograph the Northern Lights. There are several attractions nearby and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities. You can also easily visit Sweden, which can be reached via the Aavasaksa bridge.

This small, traditional, Lappish log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi , only some steps to the water (or ice in winter). Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells, marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive -with no street lights.

There is a big lake close to the cottage, pineforest and cross country skiing & hiking possibilities. The house is well equipped and modern. This is a good holiday house for families with children. There are two bedrooms, a balcony for sleeping, living room with one bed, sofas, dining table and kitchen, bathroom and sauna. You will see reindeer sometimes close to the house.
