Hicks' Hut in its own private wildflower meadow!

A beautiful and secluded off-grid shepherd's hut situated in a lovely wildflower meadow and sited below our 350 million year old cave! The shepherd's hut has a wood burner for cosy warmth and is a great way to have a romantic fire lit evening! The hut has its own en-suite shower and loo. During spring and summer the beautiful blooms of wildflowers attract lots colourful butterflies and pollinating insects. The hum of the wild life and the gentle trickle of the stream creates a relaxing stay.

Luna’s lookout is a luxury bolthole for two and full of special little luxuries to make your stay memorable. There's a kingsize bed, mini kitchen, ensuite bathroom, fluffy robes & towels and TV & WiFi. A Japanese soaking tub sits pride of place on the deck. A bath designed for two with jacuzzi jets positioned to look across over the fields and farm, pure bliss. A BBQ is provided as well as outdoor seats & throws so you both can stargaze. Davies Cottage, cosy, comfortable base

A perfect base for exploring the North Wales Coast. A cosy and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. It has wifi, good quality beds and bedding and a full bathroom, with lots of towels! The Point of Ayr Nature reserve is 5 minutes away, Talacre sand dunes and lighthouse, then Prestatyn further along the coast. Ffynnongroew was a mining village, with 2 pubs a few minutes walk away, along with a take away, Post Office and small convenience store. DOGS ALLOWED, NO CATS.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. We are delighted to offer our Shepherds Hut. Situated in an idylic area of natural beauty in rural North Wales, with popular walks including Moel Famau within walking distance from the hut. Loggerheads Country Park is about a 5 minute walk from the hut and provide beautiful walks and has a super cafe. Mold town is a 5 minute drive away. The hut is compact but has everything you need. We provide tea, coffee, milk an additional condiments.
