Regularly stayed in and painted by artists, this charming 17th Century cruck-beamed fisherman's cottage is quaint and cosy + open fire-ideal for a romantic getaway or walking holiday. Cosy quirky 1 bedroom holiday cottage with stunning views of the sea with own garden & log burner. NB .. the bedroom is in the eaves so limited head room & accessed by reasonably narrow staircase/shower room is downstairs (therefore not suitable to elderly or tall people due to the limited headroom / due to size of the bedroom it is only a double bed). Situated on the Cleveland Way this is a perfect spot for walking & within walking distance to the lovely harbour village of Staithes (25 mins)

This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Hilda Cottage is a characterful 17th Century dwelling. The front door enters the living area, downstairs you will find the equipped kitchen with large table. Upstairs from the living area is a double bedroom (WC ensuite) with sea views, and the bathroom, up the final flight of stairs is the loft bedroom (double bed & single bed) and sea views! Note the stairs are narrow & steep, see photos. If you're after old and quaint, Hilda is your girl, if you're after brand new, she probably isn't 💗
