Wow!! This place is a true hidden gem. Private, clean, spacious and peaceful. Spent most of the time on the dock staring at the beautiful lake, using the SUP and cooking in the spacious and well equipped kitchen. You never know exactly what you’re going to get at an airbnb. This FAR exceeded our expectations and we felt so lucky to have found this amazing space!! Thank you Rox for being such a great host!!

We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

What a great place to stay for a few days. Excellent location. Very quiet street. Close to the lake & walking trails. Fenced in yard for our pup which was a bonus. Tons of parking. Extremely clean & well kept. Front deck was gorgeous in the sun. Will definitely return for another stay.

Joan's place was a great place for us to unwind after the hectic day of our daughter's Nipissing Graduation. We stayed 2 nights in early June, the view of the lake was incredible and sitting on the patio listening to the waves lapping at the shore was just what the doctor ordered. The only problem we had was the fridge wasn't working, Joan had a bar fridge in before we even got there and it was lots big enough for us. Joan was super apologetic and even offered room in her fridge upstairs if we needed it. A trip out to The Trading post is always recommended if you like ice cream, cones are massive! We would definitely stay here again, Joan was fantastic to deal with!

Granite Lake Chalet was a beautiful spot for our family vacation. Host Pat was friendly and responsive, and her husband even helped us catch the NBA finals on TV. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking for our party of 7. Bathrooms were clean with ample towels and toiletries. The upstairs primary suite was roomy, with a large closet our 9-year-old used as a sleeping nook. The queen bedroom downstairs bedroom was tight due to bulky furniture; the 2nd bedroom with the bunk and double was much smaller than expected and would be much better suited for just kids. The screened-in patio was a cozy highlight, with lights, blankets, and candles for bug-free lounging. We also loved “Em’s Hideaway,” a quiet reading nook. Sturdy steps led to a magical, well-lit dock—best we’ve seen in Ontario. Great for fishing and relaxing. We launched our boat nearby, though the steep dirt ramp may require 4WD if it’s muddy. Caught mostly smallmouth bass and a couple pike. A great stay overall!

Loved the Nathalie's place - super cozy. The lake and surroundings are so calm and peaceful...its almost a private little lake! Nathalie was quick to respond to questions. Would definitely be back if I have a chance.

Bowhey’s is such a special place. All the amenities, clean cabins, staff is always busy working on something to make it even more beautiful. Ian is so great and laid back. Saturday night karaoke should not be missed! We will definitely be back.

We had such a wonder time at Manon's cottage. She was so helpful and responsive, would highly recommend. Beautiful cottage and views of the lake. Pool was a great bonus as well. Hoping to be back again soon!

Beautiful view of the West Bay! Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Friendly, laid back people were staying in nearby cottages and trailers. We went to the Lavigne Tavern down the road for supper and had an excellent meal and service. Likewise, picking up ice cream from the corner store. Very friendly, warm, relaxed town - we'll be back!

Kris' cottage was a wonderful stay and I would fully recommend it to other visitors! Our group enjoyed playing the games in the basement and the sauna/hot tub outside. The kitchen was stocked and everything was clean. 10/10!

We had a great stay at the cabin. We were in town for a family emergency but this cabin was a lovely place to lay our heads and enjoy our morning coffee watching the water. We would definitely visit again under nicer circumstances for vacation in the future.

This place is absolutely breathtaking, being right on the lake, the view was beautiful from morning to night time. Usman was also an amazing host who responded to all our questions and concerns in timely manner before and during our stay. Could not recommend this host and their place enough. I needed a quiet place in the wood to spend a few days contemplating and thinking. This gorgeous, peaceful place was absolutely perfect. I spent each day in the shade of the solarium, reading, writing in my journal, watching the dragonflies dance their aerial ballet. I spent each evening eating toasted marshmallows by a small bonfire all to myself. I settled for the night with the chalet's windows open, letting in the cool night breeze. I cooked on the barbecue. The drinking water taps and tanks were at easy reach (the owners' well water is delicious!), and the outhouse was clean and comfortable. It all made for an experience as nice and quiet and fun as camping, but without the drudgery and rough sleep. I will come back.

We loved our weekend at this cabin. Upon arrival and meeting Darrell and his two friendly dogs he let us know the route in. There is definitely a good hike and some mud to deal with but it is worth it.( bring rubber boots ) The cabin is rustic but has almost everything you will need . The wood stove has no problem keeping it toasty warm. A couple cold drinks, a bonfire, and watching the waterfalls makes for a perfect evening.

The home was exactly as advertised in the pictures. Beautifully decorated and picturesque. The views of the lake are stunning. The area was peaceful yet a close drive into town. The home had everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Wonderful hosts with great communication. Looking forward to renting again, we will definitely be back soon!

This chalet was everything my boyfriend and I were seeking for a relaxing weekend away. The view was amazing, it was so peaceful and serene. Karine was so nice and very helpful. We had a lot of fun enjoying the outdoors, paddle boarding and reading outside. The chalet interior was cozy, clean and very well decorated. It exceeded our expectations.

We had a wonderful stay in a cozy, well equipped and spacious cottage with a beautiful view on the lake. Our host had everything ready to make our stay the most comfortable. We enjoyed hiking in the snow on nearby trails.

Great place to chill out for a few days. The cottage and surroundings were quiet and beautiful. As for the hosts, Tina was really nice and easy to communicate with and her recommandations made everything easy. I highly recommend her and her husband’s cottage!
