A quiet place by a quiet bay at the countryside. There is no public transport. The road to our place is a narrow road up the hill towards the mountain Beinisvør. By the town Lopra (before the tunnel to Sumba) you turn right. "Um Hestin". Before the top of the hill, turn left: Víkabyrgi. Our house is the last one on your left side. Relax by the seaside in Akrar, Suduroy.

Our house is located in the small and peaceful village Akrar on the southern most island Suduroy of the Faroe Islands. Looking out the windows or even just having the windows open, you feel as if you are one with nature, as the house is located by the see. You can hear the ocean as the waves strike right outside the window. This 100 year old house, has been renovated through the years, but you still get the feel of going through the decades, the new has carefully been blended in with the old.

Luxury summerhouse from 2022 in lovely surroundings with a great view, located in a secluded spot with an incredibly rich wildlife. You can meet hares right outside the house, and birds build nests around the grasslands. There are 12 beds in the house, plus 2 travel beds for toddlers, but plenty of room for extra mattresses on the floor. From July 2023 it is possible to rent access to the jacuzzi for 6 people for an additional fee. 1000kr for 1 day, the following days it costs 500kr per day.

Dette hyggelige hus ligger på det sydligste punkt på Færøerne, med uforstyrret havudsigt. Huset ligger så tæt på havet at man bliver vugget i søvn til lyden af havets bølger. Sumba er en meget smuk lille bygd med en flot lille strand og en ny stor legeplads. 15. minutters kørsel fra Sumba ligger Vágur, hvor der er mulighed for shopping, sportsaktiviteter og restauranter. Her finder du også Færøernes første og eneste 50 m svømmehal samt en multihal med bl.a. 13,5 m høj klatrevæg.

"Petursborg" luxury in Vágur

Luxury Villa Peter Dahl built "Petursborg" (Peter's Castle) in 1907 when he was the mayor of Vágur. Peter was a visionary man with a pioneer spirit. Among many projects he established the local bank, built the road through the village and was also deeply involved in the first hydro electric plant in the Faroe Island, located in Vágur. The entire house was renovated from 2022 to 2024 and is today a beautiful old style house with a modern touch.

Relax in this older and quiet home that my grandfather built in 1928 and that has been home to my family. The house is located in an old town by Trangisvåg fjord - half an hour walk from Tvøroyri. The nature experiences are right outside the door. Mountain walks, fishing, sea bathing, birds, flowers, seaweed, photo, painting, tranquility but also friendly people. Retreat or activity, suitable for both. Single. Families, anyway. Nice.

We renovated this old boathouse recently. There is a rowingboat available as well. It is the family’s boat. The house offers you a peacefull sanctuary to collect your thoughts. 5 minutes walking distance to groceryshopping. Bus stop to the rest of the island is oposite the house as well. There is a bed for two people and a couch that also can fit two people

The house is located in a quiet village called Akrar on the island Suðuroy (Suderø). There are only 13 houses in the village and therefore it is very peaceful and quiet. The house is newly renovated and consists of two stories and a basement. There are approximately 7 kilometers to the nearest town, called Vágur.
