Houseboat holiday rentals in Alappuzha

The houseboat stay was an amazing experience. The staff was very warm and courteous. The food was excellent and the views were awesome. Highly recommended place.

A very memorable trip. Host was very good with Great comms & so responsive & easy to arrange the trip. We were very well looked after & all requirements catered for. Food was fantastic & the views spectacular. A most relaxing time watching the world drift slowly by.

Biju and Sudi (sp?) looked after us on the houseboat and were absolute legends, always helpful, making snacks or opening beers for us. The food they made was out of this world and we had a wonderful time. 2 nights was perfect to soak in the surroundings. Kence arranged everything for us, even a taxi back to the airport. My favourite part of the trip was when we stopped at local fish markets and I had the opportunity to buy tiger prawns or crayfish that Biju would then whip up into something delicious!

My three friends and I had a great time on Joseph’s houseboat. It was peaceful with beautiful views of the backwaters. The food was delicious and the staff was kind and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the AC was very helpful in the hot weather. They had asked if we would be willing to share the boat with one other couple, which ended up working out quite well - we enjoyed their company to pass the time on the houseboat. I recommend this experience to others!

Me, my wife and my friend stayed for a night in a 2 bedroom houseboat and it was amazing. We absolutely fell in love with the place. The food, cooked in the boat itself, was true to the traditional Kerala cuisine and was exquisite. Taste and spice can be edited based on our requirement and they did a great job. Would definitely recommend this.

The experience of cruising through the backwaters on the houseboat was relaxing. The food was well-prepared and the staff was very attentive. I wish we had more time to cruise through the backwaters, though, as that didn't really last long enough.

The boat was what we had been looking for: a large open living room in the front (not enclosed by windows). The crew was very friendly and could not have been more accommodating and helpful and the food was fantastic and plentiful and varied. We were asked before we set off if we wanted beer and someone set off to get them after we said yes. We stayed two nights, which made for a more relaxed trip - being able to wake up on the boat in the morning and knowing you had a full day ahead of you to just take it easy. The interior of the boat could use some sprucing up. But overall a great stay.

One of the best houseboats I have ever been to. Rojes's luxury houseboats are one of its kind. From the start, the experience has been positive. Rojes made sure we were informed at all times. As we were a big family, the team came to receive us and helped with our luggage. The rooms are no less than a 5 star hotel rooms. The service was exceptional. The staff made sure we were looked after 24/7. We wanted to eat crabs for dinner so they stopped at a small village and bought it for us and prepared for dinner. It was my husband's birthday so they organised the cake and everything. we couldnt have asked for a better family reunion. I will definitely be booking this again and this time for 2 days.

This was really a memorable trip for our family, specially my father loved this experience. Everything was perfectly executed from the time of CheckIn to CheckOut. Space was really neat and clean. We have 4 meals on the moving boat, and all have filled with love and care , properly taken care of everyone tests, thank you Varghese for ensuring we all have. wonderful time. Keep it up. We highly recommend Varghese Boathouse whoever is planning to visit alappuzha. This is really a life time experience.

The stay was absolutley amazing and exceeded all expectations. The crew (Santosh, Rahul, and Retheesh) are the sole reason for the 5 star review. The crew also accomodated changes to the food menu which was much appteciated. Thank you to you all.

We had a great night on the boat on New Years Eve! The food was phenomenal, the team super friendly and caring and the area is so peaceful and calm. Even for New Years Eve these parts of the backwaters was not crowded at all and for our group that drove many hours the days before it was very relaxing. Even the small kids mentioned how extraordinary the local and fresh prepared food was!

Absolutely lovely. Loved my stay at the Anjay boat house.
