Randa was a great host. Very quick to answer and communication was excellent. We met Sue the owner who we had a great chat with and kindly gifted us with smoked salmon which was delicious. The location was perfection. So peaceful and beautiful. We were slightly early for bear season but to our surprise we saw a mumma bear and her cubs emerge to the waters edge. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful view ! Beds were comfortable. 5 stars for including a fan in the room. Most places that we stay don’t! Definitely would stay again.

Thank you Kurt for having us so last min, we needed to get away from town and sure got lucky with this gem. The whole family can enjoy a game night, the theater or relax in the sauna/hot tub. The kitchen and bathrooms are all fully stocked, you’ll definitely enjoy this home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful inexpensive place so very close to Denali. It’s not a resort but a very comfortable motel room run by a charming fella!

When we got there we found out we were upgraded. After a long day of driving it was nice to have a great place to relax and an awesome tub to help do that!

Our stay at the Inn was great. The room was immaculate, and the breakfast(s) were fantastic. Marlys was very accommodating with a couple changes to our plans and made our time in this wonderful little town exciting and stress-free. Can’t wait to go back!

Lands End Condo on the spot was a perfect getaway for three couples. Walking on the beach from the back porch was peaceful.

We had a perfect stay. The condo was super nice and comfortable. It had everything we needed and the views from the deck were beautiful. I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone.

By far one of the nicest places you can stay at in Homer. Views are unbelievable. Walking out the back door to the beach is incredible. Everything felt brand new. Plenty of space for our group of 6 to stretch out in. The radiant in floor heat in the bathrooms and amazing showers were just awesome. Look no further for an epic Alaskan stay!

Beautiful and affordable! Right on the beach. Definitely worth the price. Touch screen oven! Very clean and quiet.

This was the perfect location on the Spit. It was walkable to everything but removed enough to be quiet and peaceful. The beach is your backyard. Bring your binoculars! We saw lots of wildlife and interesting boats from the back porch. I would definitely recommend this property and stay here again.

Staying at Sven’s was super convenient and easy. Well worth the price!

Lodge manager Chris greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the accommodations plus a much appreciated overview of amenities in McCarthy and what to expect on our anticipated Root Glacier hike. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful... a great host!

The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was spotless clean, all the amenities that you would look for in a house, you can find it there. The living room also has two big sofas that could sit at least 4 people. On top of that, there’s a nice overview of the Kenai River just a few steps out of your lodge. There’s also a cute spot at the back where you can chill or have a picnic. Highly recommended and we will be back for sure.

Stayed in the new building which is tucked in the middle of the woods. Felt very at home with the cushy beds and nice electronic fireplace. Very cozy. The units are new and hopefully there will be more furnishings provided soon. The walls need some simple art or pictures to warm up the unit. We really missed there not being a closet to hang things up or at least a dresser. Living out of the suitcase was our only downside of the visit. Coffee cabin was wonderful and makes spectacular Americanos. Food menu looks great too. Would stay here again as it is near Exit Glacier and the Resurrection Roadhouse! Easy access to Seward and anything you want to do in the area. Looks like they have plans for more buildings and activities on the property. We are looking forward to more furnishings when we come back later this season.

This was a really great hostel. They respectfully maintained the character of this historic building. Check in was easy and our room was exactly what we were looking for. We were also able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again.

This location was beyond beautiful! I loved the setting, you really can’t beat the view! And I also liked that they are located before the footbridge, it was great to be able to drive up and unload all our gear just right at the cabin, but then also to just hop in the car and go park by the footbridge to get to the shuttles. You could easily walk to the footbridge, too, but I had four kids with me so we drove. The host was really kind and everything about our stay was great!

This is a cool place with a great host. An awesome hunting lodge. Josiah will make you feel right at home. It’s just on the edge of town and easy to get around. Host is friendly and has some great stories of his Alaskan adventures. I slept great in a comfortable bed.
