Saartje and her husband are fantastic hosts who made me feel at home throughout my stay. They’re a warm and attentive couple who go above and beyond for their guests. The house is entirely independent, very clean, spacious, and equipped with everything needed. The kitchen has all essentials, the bright living room offers stunning views of nature, and waking up to see the beautiful white mare in the adjacent field is a true delight. The bed is spacious and comfortable, and the peace and quiet are unmatched. This tranquil location in Waanrode makes it easy to visit cities like Diest, Sint Truiden, Tienen, Leuven, and even Brussels, just 50 km away. I stayed here for a peaceful work retreat, and it exceeded my expectations. The combination of serenity and excellent connectivity makes it perfect for any kind of trip. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful week I spent and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful oasis!

It was very nice to stay in Ariane's gazebo. We walked nicely in the neighborhood and the town of Diest is well worth visiting as well. The cottage itself was equipped with all the comforts. The bench in the garden was also nice for a cup of coffee in the sun. The only downside was the youth house just next to the airbnb where they had scheduled concerts just that weekend for two nights in a row until 1 am... We happily slept through the most.

The "yellow house" in Diest is very nice! Beautifully renovated, modern, bright, beautifully decorated, a pleasant house to live in. Diest is a cozy city full of interesting history, culture and close to nature reserves. We loved that everything is within walking distance: we spent a week in Diest and did not use the car. Good communication with Jeroen and Sien. Thanks for the bottle of wine!

Sam and Berlinde were so friendly and welcoming and the house was just what I wanted ... immaculate and spacious...plenty of cooking facilities and the supermarket only a stones throw away. I will definitely stay here again when next in Tienen. Elaine
