Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alcantarilha

We hadden een super verblijf in casa da tia. Alte is een charmant en rustig dorpje en het huisje zit daar midden in. Vlakbij de rivier waar je kan gaan zwemmen en ook vlakbij enkele bars. Het huisje zelf had alles wat je nodig hebt en was kraaknet. Aanrader!

Just back from a lovely few days staying at Ana Maria and Jorge's cottage, who are such kind and friendly hosts. Well equipped, very comfortable and clean and just what we needed for a peaceful few days resting and exploring the Algarve. Going out and about in a hire car, we especially enjoyed visited historic Silves, swimming in the sea at Portimão and the Sunday church service at São Bartolomeu de Messines Church. Highly recommended!

Very large villa set in a very private setting. Great for a family holiday with private pool and massive outdoor spaces. Bedrooms were large and had plenty of storage. Kitchen was very well equipped, although a number of items are now quite dated and would benefit from updating. Very quiet and peaceful setting - great if you want to get away from it all! But also 7-10 min drive to beach and local town/shops. Bella was a kind and responsive host. She replaced the toaster on the same day we told her it wasn’t working. A fantastic place. The only criticism i have is that the upstairs bedroom area (with the two single beds) smelled very musty. We stayed in another AirBnB in Lisbon and it had the same issue so I wonder if high humidity levels are a factor. There were air fresheners placed around but if you have a sensitive nose then this would be a problem for you.

My favourite Airbnb experience to date. It was stunningly decorated, cozy and inviting - we enjoyed spending time in the space in-between beach hangs and afternoon strolls in the area. Maggie was friendly, welcoming, responsive and kind. She was a wonderful host! The home is close to so many beaches, restaurants and things to do. Truly perfect location and experience over all. Not to mention, Maggie gave us incredible recommendations for restaurants and things to do. 20/10 recommend. A dream vacation in Lagos.

We stayed here for a week and it was perfect! The beaches are only a 15-20 minute walk away or a 10 minute bike ride! Definitely recommend that. The house is great and the garden is beautiful! The plunge pool was perfect for the hot days! I would 100% recommend this place :)

For a few years my family (parents, sisters, nieces) had planned to spend a holiday together, but it took a while to find a time that would work for everyone. And then we had to find a place that not only could accommodate small children, but was also big enough for everyone and offered a comfortable and accessible place. We found all of that in this unbelievably nice house. It clearly exceeded our expectations and is one of the main reasons that we had such memorable holidays. The place is spacious, cozy right from the start, and has everything we needed during our 2-week stay. Kathleen was always very responsive and helpful. As I told her in our last message before leaving, if I could give 6 stars I would and so would all of my family members. Thanks again!

Eigentlich ist über dieses tolle Airbnb schon soviel geschrieben worden. Wir schließen uns ALLEN positiven Bewertungen an. Wer individuellen Urlaub an der Algarve plant, sollte hier buchen. Es war traumhaft. Unser Leben in den fast 2 Wochen fand überwiegend draußen statt. Es ist so schön, auf der Dachterrasse morgens den ersten Kaffee/Tee zu genießen oder am Abend den Wein. Unser 2. Lieblingsplatz war der Innenhof mit Küchentresen. Wir haben es geliebt hier zu frühstücken und den Affogato zwischendurch zu genießen. Wir hatten geplant, nicht zu kochen. Allerdings hat es soviel Spaß in dieser gut ausgestatteten Küche gemacht. Also gab es doch mal kleine Gerichte oder Salate am Abend. Fußläufig sind in wenigen Gehminuten Restaurants, die kleine Markthalle, die einheimischen Lebensmittelläden und 2 Discounter erreichbar. Uns hat Silves sehr gut gefallen. Hier gibt es gute Möglichkeiten schöne Dinge zu shoppen. Vielen Dank an Marta + Levi für die Kommunikation + die neue Spülmaschine

Nossa experiência na casa da Michelle foi excelente. A casa é super aconchegante, limpa e bem cuidada. Localizada no centro de uma vila típica portuguesa e ao mesmo tempo próxima (de carro) das praias. A casa possui todos os utensílios básicos necessários para cozinhar e para crianças pequenas. Assim como nós, nosso filho de 1 ano e 8 meses adorou!

Great place right on the sand of a beautiful beach, with a short ferry ride into old town Faro. Ideal location.

Beautiful place in a lovely location (quick walk down to the beach!) with such a lovely & knowledgeable host, Patricia. It was so peaceful and we had such a great time. The beach nearby was so nice - peaceful and beautiful with nice sand. I worked remotely for the days we were there and the internet was great for video calls. We didn’t use the kitchen much however noticed it was fully stocked with all the necessary essentials. We definitely want to spend a longer time here in the future.

Het appartement is ruim en heeft alle comfort. Ons verblijf was begin mei, het was erg rustig in de omgeving. Weinig appartementen waren bezet. Wat ons het meest plezier deed, was het prachtige terras met zich op de oceaan (in de verte). Heerlijk om er te ontspannen. Van deze locatie bereikten we vlot, per huurwagen, leuke locaties: de westkust, Albufeira, Silves, Monchique, Luz, ... Er is een fijn strand op wandelafstand. Er zijn restaurantjes in de buurt, voor elk wat wils. Misschien is er minder rust wanneer het hoogseizoen is aangebroken, maar begin mei was het heerlijk rustig en nog niet te warm.

Hartstikke fijn verblijf. We hebben ontzettend genoten. De ruimte is ruim en zeer centraal gelegen. De woning heeft alles ook qua bestek, lekkeren koffie etc. Enige minpunt; het putje in de douche werkte niet naar behoren.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons eu une hôte accueillante et souriante. Les instructions etaient très claire, l’appartement très propre et le quartier a deux pas de la mer. Seul bémol, le bruit des travaux en journée mais rien de repoussant. C’était un plaisir !

Wir haben zum 2. Mal unseren Urlaub in dieser tollen Strandwohnung verlebt und die Gastfreundschaft von Mark genossen. Die Wohnung liegt für unsere Bedürfnisse perfekt: Zum einen liegt dieser wunderbare Praia da Falesia "vor der Tür", zum anderen erreicht man mit dem Auto schnell den Westen und den Osten Portugals, um andere wunderschöne Orte an der Algarve zu entdecken. Bars, Restaurants und Supermärkte liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe und es gibt auch eine hervorragende Cocktailbar mit Tapas, um einen schönen Sommerabend ausklingen zu lassen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Joana is an exceptional host and her place has so much charm and character. We immediately felt at home in her peaceful retreat. Joana stocked the refrigerator and provided a welcome basket with all kinds of treats which was so kind. The house was so cute and comfortable, had all we needed and we enjoyed the luxury of a private pool. The house is conveniently situated to Old Town and we were able to walk there & to the Ponta da Piedade boardwalk hike. Thank you Joana for sharing your spectacular home with us and we totally recommend your place to others!

Die Unterkunft von Marco war richtig super. 9/10 Punkten - warum: Ich dachte laut den Fotos, dass es das Nachbarhaus ist mit Pool. Wir waren im ersten Stock und eigentlich bevorzuge ich mit meinem 5 jährigen Sohn eine Unterkunft im Erdgeschoss, dass war leider nicht ganz klar ersichtlich. Top war: nicht mal 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand, tolle Restaurants am Strand, teurer Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke. Die Wohnung ist super sauber und die Küche hat für Selbstversorger alles was man unbedingt braucht aber auch nicht mehr, kein Nudelsieb und auch keine Zitronenpresse, zB. Geschirr auch minimal von der Stückanzahl (6 Gläser). Marco und seine Mama sind super nett und hilfreich beim Check in, weiters haben wir sie nicht gebraucht, da es nicht unser erster Portugal Urlaub war. Preis-Leistung mit Pool top - kann man nichts ausschließen. Portimão super Lage mit Auto in 50 Minuten in Faro Flughafen und in 30 Minuten in Lagos. Liebe Grüße, Jessica & Family.

Maria was a great host and so helpful with anything requested. We had an issue with the lobby entrance of the building and she resolved this by communicating with the building management. We had a great time in the accomodation and felt relaxed for our week abroad with the children

Fabulous location! Beach, amazing boardwalk, and town very near, just lots of stairs! But that is beautiful Portugal! Views from porch were fantastic; everything you needed was in the kitchen and it was a very welcoming place. We didn’t use the pool, but it is a good size and well maintained. Master shower is a bit tight, but a big beautiful bath is 5 steps away, so really no big deal. I would definitely book here again if the opportunity arises!

Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Paulo reagiert innerhalb kurzer Zeit und ist freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die komplette Anlage macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Anlage und Wohnung zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank

We loved staying at Marlene's place! The location can't be beat. The views were amazing and we enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the walking trails along the cliffs. We found the walk to town totally doable (10-15mins) with also a few restaurants even closer (Mar, Luca's rooftop, etc.). The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived late after our flight was delayed and Rui was there waiting to check us in and show us around. Apartment in lovely location close to shops, restaurants and beach. We were there with 2 small kids and had great time. Rui was in contact during the week to make sure all was ok and very quick to reply to any questions. Had a fabulous week here would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic week in Elisa’s apartment, the view is beautiful! So lovely to see and hear the sea everyday. It’s a short walk into town with lots of great bars and restaurants, we also easily got parked nearby. Elisa was a great host, very responsive and I recommend reading her blog with loads of great recommendations for exploring the algarve. Thank you Elisa!

Wow!! What an amazing place! One of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in! The photos don’t do it justice! So much nicer!! Super clean, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, fantastic rooftop terrace, and gorgeous beach views! The location is fantastic, literally a two minute walk to the beautiful Meia Praia beach. Carolina is so friendly and was super attentive during our stay! Highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!!
