Quinta da Galega | Pool & Relaxation

This iconic accommodation, located a few minutes from the city of Portalegre, will give you the opportunity to have a unique experience. It consists of two houses, a main house and a small cottage. You will be able to enjoy a private pool, outdoor bathtub, barbecue, and a wonderful swing to enjoy the late afternoon and watch the sunset. The accommodation is completely private, and when you book it, it is reserved exclusively for you and your family or friends. It is fenced in on all sides.

Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as cork oaks, olive trees, oaks or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites you to take refreshing baths through its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused irrigation tanks.

This is not an Hotel. It is a paradise for those seek to unplug and reconnect to a slower pace of life while experimenting with off-grid living: solar electricity for lights, solar and firewood heating systems, low pressure water system, compost toilet, no mobile or internet networks available inside the house. You will have access to a splash tank, food garden, trekking paths and a small waterfall.

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
