Welcome to Quinta da Coruja, a small organic farm situated among the hills of the southern Alentejo. We offer a relaxing holiday in the countryside of Portugal, surrounded by peaceful nature where you get the opportunity to experience the daily life on a farm. We have goats, horses, cats, chickens and dogs living on the farm. We produce our own cheese. Welcome to join us for the daily goat walks! There is lots of nature to explore in the area and you can find signposted hiking trails nearby.

On the site there is a beautiful Quinta in excellent condition and three windmills from 1753. Part of the Quinta has been separated from the house and converted into a nice apartment with private access. Ideal for couples or families. It has a spacious bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen and relax room, where 2 children can sleep (total 75m2).

Eu e a minha família adoramos a nossa estadia. A quinta fica localizada no topo de um monte com uma vista incrível para a barragem, todos os espaços partilhados são muito bonitos e bem tratados. Fomos muito bem recebidos e o nosso Bungalow tinha o essencial, bonita decoração e estilo moderno, sentimos o cuidado e atenção para cada detalhe. O pequeno almoço foi trazido ao Bungalow e foi delicioso! É um lugar para voltar e recomendar a familiares e amigos!

Thank you Stephan for this experience! Had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful land and will definitely come back. The tent felt very comfortable to sleep in and had enough space for everything. The Nature is absolutely stunning, while the opportunities on the property are giving a good variety. From taking a swim in the lake and afterwards laying in the sun (huge platform next to the lake), to a calming walk through the valley (where oranges are growing). Places for sports and music. The garden is blooming with life, flowers and vegetables and the people that are living there are very friendly. Joschua and Alicia invited to a tasty meal and showed recommended places to explore. There are ruins and a windmill quite close (15min walk) to see an amazing sunset. If you’re still considering your booking, you should just go for it - you will not regret it. Felt very welcome from the beginning and leave with a calm feeling. Until next time!! :) (Keep in mind: I’ts in nature).

Joao Loja’s accommodation and setting is simply magnificent. It is set in beautiful rolling hills over looking a lake, the accommodation was exceptional with super clean bungalows and a delicious breakfast made to order delivered to your bungalow. Joao and his team are very helpful, they communicate very promptly and make you feel at home. We booked it as a stop over between Faro and Lisbon (which was perfect) but I would actually recommend staying there for a holiday as it is so beautiful with lots of activities and a superb pool to relax by. This is a fantastic accommodation and I recommend it highly
