Apartment holiday rentals in Altura

We had a fantastic family stay (3 adults and 3 children) in this wonderful house! From the beginning, communication with the host was excellent — always available, with useful and relevant directions that greatly facilitated our arrival and stay. The house was perfectly prepared to welcome families with children: we found high chairs, a baby bath, beach towels, a parasol, a hair dryer and many other details that made all the difference. We truly feel at home. The location is great, in a very quiet area, ideal for resting. The heated pool was one of the highlights — perfect for relaxing with the little ones. The nearby beach is also very calm, ideal for children to run and play freely. In terms of convenience, there are supermarkets less than 5 minutes away by car, and even next to the house there is a pharmacy and a cafe with delicious bread (1 minute by car). Without a doubt, an experience to repeat.

We had the pleasure of the staying at Rita’s place for a week in April 2025. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, the rooftop terrace with a bbq is perfect for dinner with fresh seafood from the local market. It was our 3rd visit to the Algarve region and Manta Rota is one of our favorite spots so far, we’d definitely return to Manta Rota and book the apartment again.

Odete is a very kind and helpful host. She responded quickly to each of our qeustions and was very flexible with her hosting. The apartment itself is large and has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen which was excellent for my family incluing 3 kinds. Each bedroom had a comforatble bed and each bathroom was very clean and modern. The apartment is seafront and the beach is in 2 minutes walking distance. The beach is amazing and clean with a beautiful white sand. There are several excellent restaurants (absolutely recommended: 351 Eddy Tapas) and supermarkets in walking distances. The city is small, very cute and cozy with nice and freindly people. All in all, it was the best beach holiday we ever had. We would definitely like to come back again, as we told Odete :)

Excellent stay! We loved the space, the pool and the park were great for the kids. We always walked to the beach. It was a super calm and pleasant area.

we loved staying here. the most serene private place with a gorgeous fruit tree field surrounding us. place was spotless and we were assisted with getting in on arrival. everything went smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a more lovely experience ☺️

The apartment was exactly what we hoped it would be, with all the amenities anybody could wish for. We found it difficult to find private accommodation that was modern and stylish, so Filipa’s place was a rare find that definitely lived up to our expectations. Being so close to the sea, and great restaurants in the town was also a huge plus.

We had the perfect stay at Nuno’s accommodation. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves, with a truly beautiful view from the balcony. Nuno was extremely responsive and helpful during our stay. We couldn’t ask for more, we will definitely be booking again!

We had such an amazing stay! Tavira is truly one of the last of it’s kind - we came from London and at first we experience a bit of “reverse culture shock” because the town is so quaint, quiet, and local feeling - but after a few days of adjusting we absolutely fell in love. This is an excellent location, there’s plenty of nice restaurants and one of the best coffee shops right next door run by some lovely Canadians. We stayed for 2 weeks, immersed ourselves in Tavira, ate great food, and drank pretty well, too. Don’t hesitate on booking, you won’t regret it!

Thank you Judite, for a nice week in your apartment. The balcony which was L-shaped gave sun from morning to evening. It was quiet and safe. Plenty of clean bed linen and towels.

Anthony’s apartment is both spacious and tastefully decorated. We felt very comfortable and slept well. The location is ideal as it is within walking distance of several restaurants, markets, shopping, and tourist sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tavira, and look forward to returning to this quaint town.

The house was lovely & super clean. I particularly enjoyed having such new and good shape kitchen ware as well as kitchen appliances, it did felt like home. The Terraces are awesome and location is very good. Ana is a super host, always responsive and providing really fast feedback. We had some wonderful holidays during our stay. Thank you for your kindness, we will definitly be back!

There is no glue to put in Jose Carlos's apartment. It was spotless clean, well laid out and with the necessary utensils. The terrace overlooking the marshes is a plus. The garage plaza is ample and the instructions to enter the apartment very accurate with the videos you send before check-in. It allowed us to check in before check-in time which is to be appreciated. The urbanization is modern and very careful, with a pool that we hope to try again. With easy access to a huge beach for long walks. Highly recommended!!

One of the best places we've stayed on vacation. Extremely well-appointed apartment, with a balcony where we can relax. Organized apartment, well-used space and super clean. The location is perfect. Close to the beach, and close to everything. The host is very helpful. We advise, recommend and want to return.

Thank you for a wonderful week in the beautiful Algarve. The apartment was perfect, we loved the pool, the local beach, collecting shells and the helpful people at the local market. We bought fresh bread and seafood everyday and ate on the terrace each night. We loved the swallows, the wild flamingoes, the hummingbird moths, and the geckos. It was just bliss. Nuno’s place was great and well worth the cost of the listing. Nuno was super responsive and always got back to us rather quickly. We even had an issue with the hot tub heating( our error) and Nuno came right over to fix. There was an odor that seemed to be coming from the bathroom that came and went but other than that would recommend this place a million times!!! Location was great, walkable to many affordable restaurants, beach (13 min walk), supermarket and shops. This place exceeded my expectations. Thanks Nuno!!!

This is a remarkable residence if you value space, peace and comfort in a beautiful aesthetic. The best of all was the large terrace that has the benefit of sunrise and sunset. Pack your bags, you'll love it and Tavira is always a treat yo visit. Just dont tell anyone else!!

Had an amazing stay at Maruja Airbnb! The space was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The host was super helpfull. The location was perfect quiet but close to everything we wanted to see. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
