THE STRAND

The house has a magnificent location right at the North Atlantic Ocean, view to the endless horizon and shifting colors of sea and sky. Facing the lighthouse and wild mountains. 5 minutes walk to Whalesafari, Sea Safari etc. It is a fisher family home (1946), fully equipped and renovated. Some furniture from past are kept, such as cabinets made by my father. Huge garden and deck. Perfect for walks along the stretching white sandy beach. Suitable for single travellers, couples and families.

Gåsøya 4 is our cabin which is idyllically situated at the water's edge on Gåsøya in the middle of Bleiksvatnet. It sleeps 4 guests. Two minutes drive from the parking lot up to the famous mountain top Måtind. The cabin has running water and electricity, hallway, two bedrooms, toilet room with shower, living room and kitchen. The lean-to is right on the waterfront. The boat house located between the gap and the cabin is equipped with benches and tables and is well suited as a living room.

Two big bedrooms with double beds, one bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. In the smaller living room there is also the possibility for one extra bed.

Modern and fully equipped cabin with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Nicely located by the sea with a view of Gavelfjorden and Risøysundet. Enjoy a cup of coffee while Hurtigruten is passing by. It´s not unusual to spot eagles and mooses right outside the cabin. Andøya can offer great hikingspots, beaches, fishing water, hunting terrain and whale- and puffin safari and northern lights. Spacious rooms with great ocean view and overlooking the small village of Nøss. Newly built in the connection with an artist run gallery; Atelier Nøss. One large living room (underfloor heated) with open kitchen, sitting area, workspace and 4 m ceiling height with a large window facing the sea and window with sliding door facing the mountain behind the house. Second half is divided in to one bedroom and a workspace. Bathroom with toilet, shower and underfloor heating.

Helmers Whale spot.

Leiligheten er 47 kvm og ligger sørvendt, ingen bebyggelse mot sør. Nærhet til turløype med lys. Meget rolig strøk. På nordsiden ligger Andenes sentrum i gangavstand. Fem minutter å gå til nærmeste butikk. Hvalsafari ut fra Andenes havn, to avganger pr dag. Vi tillater husdyr da vi selv har to snille Samojedhunder i 2. etg, hundene er selvsagt ikke i nærheten av leiligheten.

The Barn - Unique Apartment at Stave

Recharge at this unique and tranquil place to stay. Originally this was the old barn on the farm. The top floor was completely renovated and made into a larger apartment in 2022. Holiday home on most beautiful Andøya

The beginning was problematic, a neighbor had to wait for us until 10:30 PM because of the key, as it was not accessible in a box with a code, as indicated in the ad. We liked the house very much. Especially how clean everything was! Our main wish was fulfilled: the northern lights danced across the sky. We were even lucky a couple of times. The island is interesting, now in October colorfully colored with the view of the rugged snow peaks all around. The facilities of the Space Center are also exciting. Shopping in Andenes is not a problem, unfortunately there is no tourist information anymore. Actually, October is not a good time to travel: the big whale watching boat takes a break (contrary to the information on their homepage), the RIB boats often do not sail because of too high waves. Fantastic clouds, the sight of the waves and the wonderful landscape made up for it. Also, the magnificent conservatory with the spectacular panoramic view is more suitable for warmer months.

The location was great, it was very peaceful and beautiful and the beach was nearby. Unfortunately the weather was rainy when we visited. The house itself was very cozy, miniature and had a vintage style. There were a lot of sheep nearby which was fun. The stairs to the second floor was quite low so mind your head 😀 All the necessities were there and the beds were comfortable. A big bonus for us was the electric car charger. We hiked nearby to Måtind and the views there were spectacular.

We loved staying in the house and fell in love with the view out of the window of the upper floor. We could even see the midnight sun from the balcony. Everything was clean and it was very quiet. Also the surrounding offers many wonderful views, hiking baths and wonderful beaches. Waralak was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed very much being her guests. Thank you very much for being with you! It was super great 😁

House of Hulda is tucked away in a dune area near several beaches, is aesthetically beautiful renovated and decorated and has a spectacular 360 degree view. The peaceful atmosphere around the house is soothing. The energy in the house is so calm and light, and it was neat and clean. And equipped with everything you need for a carefree stay. The small community is very friendly! Andoya is like no other island, with sometimes four seasons passing by in one day and endless sea-sunsets this time of year. There are countless hiking opportunities nearby. The communication with host Mariëll was helpful and very pleasant. I had a very mindful time with my dogs and I simply will miss this place so much!
