What a fabulous place to spend a relaxing week. The Barn is beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything needed for a self-catering stay. The views from the lounge windows are absolutely stunning and I loved being able to sit on the comfy sofa watching the sheep, cows and occasionally a hawk. Linda and Jim were perfect hosts - friendly but not intrusive. The Barn is well situated for visiting Hexham, Corbridge, Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Water and only an hour away from Alnwick and Bamburgh. I would highly recommend The Barn and hope to return one day.

Many thanks Sam and Vicky for introducing us to this beautiful part of Northumberland. We had a wonderful time in the apartment and much appreciated the luxury welcome treats. Bed was super comfy and everywhere was clean and tidy. Jo was very helpful and prompt sorting some minor issues with the blind and oven for us. All in all, an ideal place to explore Hexham with its beautiful abbey and grounds on its doorstep and would thoroughly recommend 😊

What a wonderful find ! The cottage felt bigger in person than the pictures and exceeded our expectations. The private wild flower garden terrace was wonderful. We really enjoyed our time and Angela was such a great host - from the milk, cake and booklet of great local tips !

We wanted a countryside location and enjoyed walking to Corbridge as well as travelling to local sites near Hadrian’s Wall. The Annex was a great base, and we managed to cook in the alcove discreetly fitted within the living room. Sonja and John gave recommendations for routes, pubs and hidden gems such as Allen Banks and Steel Rigg car park. Sitting in their garden was great too, as was the welcome pack for our arrival.
