This special house is located in the centre of the village within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of the Merksplas municipality. The municipality is renowned for its 600-hectare historic cultural landscape, part of a unique ensemble of social colonies including Wortel (Hoogstraten), recognised by UNESCO, on the Dutch border. As of 1 April 2026, a tourist tax is mandatory. The tax amounts to €2 per adult (18+) per night, is not included in the price, and is payable on site.

Cottage for 2 is located directly in our backyard in a wooded area, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. You have 40m2 of living space with terrace (20m²) and garden. The kitchen is fully equipped + dishwasher. The swimming pool is open from 5/1-10/1. The owner also uses the swimming pool. (Swimming pool rules, no music, no visitors allowed, no parties, only peace and quiet). It is nice to spend time in the sauna (1 x sauna/stay included). Lots of culture nearby.

Our house is the old house of the architect in the village of Haasdonk. On the ground floor, we have set up our Airbnb, where the drawing tables used to be. Haasdonk is still a green lung, located between Ghent and Antwerp. It is the ideal base for soaking up culture, art or history in either city. Or visit Hof ter Saksen, our beautiful park forest, the Haasdonk fort or hike and mountain bike on one of the many trails in the Haasdonk woods.
