Cosy riverside cottage in peaceful Lincolnshire

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The cottage has been planned and presented with excellent attention to detail. The gardens are huge and so well maintained. The gardens have lots of little 'hidden places' and quirky details that add to the whole experience. We loved the location, as it's off the beaten track but, not at the end of a dreadful dirt track but, amidst lovely open fields and with well laid access. Don't expect a million shops or restaurants in walking distance but, nice pubs and food are short drives away. Local town about 20 mins easy drive. A perfect haven for two people looking for peace and quiet.

Owl Cottage

Lyle And Marie-AnneRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Owl Cottages at Heckington was a perfect position for our one weeks stay, allowing us to explore the surround villages. Easy access to Lincoln, Louth, Boston etc and especially the Lincolnshire Woulds, stunning. A beautiful historic town, a joy to walk around. A good co-op store with in a short walk. The Owl Cottage was beautiful, peaceful, private and in a lovely garden setting. Our Host Nigel was excellent, quiet but very helpful if you needed travel advice. My husband and I were extremely happy to have had the pleasure to stay in the delightful cottage. Thank you kindly Nigel. Wishing you all the very best. Lyle and Marie-Anne

The Garden House at Hungerton

MaryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
As soon as we saw the Garden House we relaxed straight away, it is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery and birds. Isabel’s handbook had lots of information and great instructions to walk around the estate and meet the sheep. The welcome pack was superb! Thankyou! We slept so well with the bird song waking us. We did venture out but it was great to get back to the comfort of the Garden house. I met Isabel who is a wonderful lady. We do hope to be back again Mary and David

Kirkstead Suite @ Walcott Lodges

KevinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Easy to find, located behind a pub (pub is currently closed) the lodges are situated away from the pub itself & accessed via the pub car park. Plenty of dedicated parking outside the lodges, with a step to a decked area running along the front of them, to one end of this there is a sloped ramp allowing easier access. The lodge we stayed in was bright, airy, spotless, modern and had all of the basics to provide a comfortable night's rest. Each lodge has it's own en-suite shower room, with only tea & coffee making facilities, but after chatting to Nick, he said he might be able to provide a microwave & small fridge by prior arrangement. Although Nick is not on site, he is nearby & is VERY quick to respond to any questions you might have. We had a lovely stay, with the peace & quiet we were looking for, we would highly recommend Walcott Lodges & will certainly be using them again in the future. Thankyou Nick & Anna

Garden Bungalow and Hot Tub

JadeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Lovely hosts, friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The massive lawn gives you a lovely view & feeling of space from the bungalow and the hot tub area is lovely for relaxing. 1 small double & 1 single room along with the fact everything is on one level and the bungalow is gated off made it perfect for 2 adults and 1 toddler. Milk, butter, crumpets and biscuits were an added bonus for us. The dogs are very non-threatening and gentle. Parrots are chatty. Tattershall Park Farm 35 mins away, Skegness an hour, location beautiful. Worth a stay 🙂

Rachel was a great host and the house is a beautiful place to stay. We both said it felt like being in a 5 star hotel but with the extra space and amenities. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and private getaway in the beautiful countryside.

The Coach House

ZoeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Joelle, Rob, Alan and family are wonderful humans whose cottage is the very definition of rustic charisma (shot through with beguiling French accents). With a convenience store a 2-minute walk away, the post office across the street and a pub just around the corner, the cottage offers a step back from the world without feeling cut off from it. (The WiFi, for the tech-enabled, is also exceptionally good.) I was sad to end my stay early due to a natural disaster on the premises. I would unreservedly recommend this accommodation minus that once-in-a-lifetime aberration.

100% perfect for us and totally exceeded our already high expectations. Tracey was extremely friendly, the accommodation was fantastic with everything we could ask for. The location was just perfect and being lovers of aircraft, horses and dogs, just could not have been better. We will definitely return when we are next in the area. Thank you Tracey.
