Welcome to Altes Land, Germany's largest fruit growing area with its numerous orchards. Here you can relax wonderfully, especially cycling through apple orchards or to the nearby Elbe. For shopping, we recommend the Hanseatic city of Hamburg (about 45 minutes by car) or the cozy cities of Stade (20 minutes) and Buxtehude (12 minutes). Lauenbrück is located on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath with a varied landscape. In and around the village there are many ways to explore nature on foot, by bike or by canoe. By train you can easily reach Hamburg/Bremen or take the Lower Saxony ticket to the North Sea.

When you step out of your own front door, you are practically already on the Nordpfad/in the forest.
