GODA. Island Hideaway on Svartsö

Fish and bathe in the lake, heat up in the sauna, do yoga and long table dinners in the orangery and sleep under the stars in the cabin. Named GODA ('good'), this is a wonderful place to get back to nature. GODA is a twist on “good” (gott in Swedish/god in Danish); an island hide-out for curious young souls like yourself demanding goodness for nature, self and others. We build GODA in 2016-2018 and she continues to grow and evolve as you will see if you visit her. GODA comfortably hosts 7 people in beds (plus 2 kids beds and 2 baby beds) in the main house and 6 people in Mini GODA. Our latest newcomer with own kitchen, bathroom and space. So a total of 13 adults and 4 kids can enjoy the space collectively, then using madrases on the floor, in the Orangerie or on the benches in the relax room in the sauna to accommodate additional people. The rent is primarily for the main cabin and if a larger group than 7, also for Mini GODA. If you want to access the sauna, orangeri and hot tub, please let us know in advance and we can arrange that, however, the hot tub should be used for stays longer than 4 nights and depends the water level in the lake. The sauna might be rented out by the island hotel during your stay, unless you specifically would like the privacy. In that case, please let us know. The only immediate neighbors are the fascinating fauna that can be discovered all around. There's easy access from the mainland, with boats running all year long. The best access point is on the north side of the island. There are only about 10 cars on the island, all with special permission, so please park your car on one of the main island access points, e.g. Vaxholm (for best access to the house via the north side), Åsättra (Ljusterö) brygga or Boda. You can rent bikes to get around from the grocery store or the hotel (the hotel is only 300m walk from the ground) Easy access from the main land with boats running all year around. The best access is on the North side of the island. To check out times go to https://waxholmsbolaget.se/ The hot tub can be used for longer stays than 4 nights and is subject to water supply as it can be very scare on the island during the summer. Cozy well equipped cottage close to forest & sea

Cosy cottage on a beautiful woodland plot. It has a secluded location at a height next to the forest. Fresh furniture and all amenities one can wish for. We’ve had an amazing stay with friends and toddlers. The house was perfect for cooking and social evenings. We had bad weather which means we did not enjoy the pool as we hoped to, but luckily we enjoyed the sauna with breathtaking views. Mikael was responsive and always helpful when we had questions. 6 adults stayed in this house for a few days and it was amazing. We had plenty of room and the views were amazing. I would absolutely come back to Linda's place again. The island is nice for walking, swimming, and just relaxing. We took the waxholmsbolaget boat and it was very easy. Wonderful!

The small private beach right by the house is very nice. The warm shower overlooking the sea makes bathing in the sea a highlight even on cooler days. Lise-Lotte and her family are incredibly hospitable. It is not a matter of course to be picked up from the ferry dock. The welcome was very very warm and we were grateful that Lise-Lotte transported our luggage to the accommodation. If you are looking for peace and an island with great hiking trails and swimming spots, this is the place to be. We would always come back!

We had a wonderful stay in the small house in Riala! The accommodation is new, very clean and stylishly furnished – just like in the pictures. The location directly on the water is fantastic and perfect for relaxing. Communication with Lollo was super friendly and uncomplicated. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. We stayed two nights with Lena and Richard in their nice and very charming house in early June 2025. The house is small but has the amenities needed and is fantastically located right by the water. Sitting at the edge of the jetty under the alder tree is almost like being abroad. Lena and Rochard are very nice, caring and make sure that the guests have a good time. Top hosts, simply, and we will gladly come back.
