We love the pastoral setting of this mid century modern cottage (circa 1962) in a quiet neighborhood. The home has been decorated in period pieces so it’s like stepping back in time, but with the modern conveniences. It is close to Fort Jackson, USC, and Downtown. It has been totally remodeled with new appliances, bathroom and kitchen. we are pet friendly and there is an acre or so to walk the dog, but the yard is not fenced.

Definitely was pleased. very cozy with a dash of elegance. Burned one of her mixing bowls but she brushed it off. Tvs in all rooms. Furniture well kept, pleasant clean smell over entire home. Hot water didn't run out and unspotted towels. Wish I could stayed longer. Constantly in and out. Thank you for the last min. reservations

Perfect for Ft. Jackson visitors! This place was very nice. It was very comfortable and quiet. I knew it was part of their home, but I was pleased that it was separated/unattached, since my young son is a big fan of loudness. ;) We used street parking, but there were a few other options as well. It was hard to tell from Stephen's map where to park on the lawn, but street parking was adequate, even with our giant pickup truck. The door was a bit tricky, but the instructions were perfect and made it make more sense. Definitely read the pdf Stephen sends prior to your stay. I failed to do that due to general busyness, and it meant that I was going in blind. He really does a great job explaining everything in that document. I asked my kids what their thoughts were. my teenager said it smelled nice and had a comfy mattress and wasn't too hot. my little dude said it was "nice and big" and that his "fort bed" was comfy [pile of blankets under the table] and it was fun.

My stay was fantastic! This place is not super fancy but it is a nice comfortable spot and a great value! It is centrally located and close to everything especially the Downtown. The host is super helpful and fast with communication. He has a cool guidebook for the city with great recommendations for restaurants and going to the Soda City Market on Saturday morning which I went to and it's awesome! Check-in and checkout were a breeze. The wifi was fast and the area around the home is quiet and it feels safe. I would definitely stay here again! I especially loved the teal pops of color-they really brightened my day! Would definitely recommend!

Went to stay at South Carolina for my fiancé graduation and The stay was excellent it was close by the fort Jackson base and easy access, liked everything in the house and the host was so communicative and fast responding if you had any question even on the smallest thing. If I could come again to South Carolina I would reserve this place again. ❤️

Deborah and Peter's Airbnb was beautiful! The location, the gorgeous flowers, foliage, yard space and koi pond offered the peace and calm I was looking for during this trip. The interior of the Airbnb offered simple elegance; a place for everything, and everything in it's place. The locations was in a safe, well-maintained established neighborhood and close to restaurants, shopping, and the highway. I could not have located a better Airbnb. Deborah and Peter's Airbnb is a hidden gem! Whenever I visit Columbia, SC their Airbnb is a keeper on my list! Thanks Deborah and Peter for your hospitality! Constance
